Is there a designated trailer parking area away from the hotels for those of us hauling our slingshots to Maggie Valley? Seems I recall past parking on the fairgrounds? I went to SSitS in "15" but rode my sling there then. Coming back for this event this year but trailering the sling this time around.

I used the following HID lights and have been more than happy with them, Very bright and light the road a whole lot better then the stock set up. Totally plug and play too. I went HIDs for both sets of lights. 6k white

Today I took my seat frames to the dealership to have them check on those welds in question. I tried using the mirror method without results. So by taking them out I got a good look. Still cold here so really no down time either. Anyhow my seats passed the inspection. Figured it would since I saw nothing wrong but by having the shops inspections and paperwork done to satisfy Polaris I'm covered.
I'm attaching pics of the welds. I don't know just which areas are in question but if one was to look at their seats and compare to these pics you'll know if you'll be replace your seats. Oh my seat bases show being manufactured a month apart as well as the backs being built at different times. -

Mine was one of the early models that used a webbed lashing system. Never loosened up since day one.
I stand corrected. There are snaps on the side rails but front & rear fasteners are a web & buckle affair that can be tightened. In any case the canvas has stayed taunt & tight in the 3 years I've owned this Slingshot. -
@mniron So will you be installing these hood pins at SSitS / MV this year? If so I'm in for a set. If not a link on where to order them.

I am sure you researched this but anyone buying in the same state that you are selling will have to pay taxes(michigan).
True but if shipping and discounts offset the taxes paid it's still good. Guess it depends on what we're buying and from who being drop shipped. Definitely our northern friends will benefit.

Would anyone happen to have a trailer hitch they aren't using and would like to get rid of. I don't need anything fancy, would like to get the swing arm mounted hitch as I will not be pulling a lot of weight and not using it a lot, a few times a year for fairly short runs for the most part. Thanks
I build a swing arm mounted hitch that I offer on e-Bay. Polaris Slingshot reciever style hitch | eBay

This seller offers a reasonably-priced Double DIN install kit that includes the wiring to fit the Slingshot - POLARIS SLINGSHOT MARINE STYLE DASH INSTAL KIT RADIO COVER FOR DOUBLE DIN STEREO | eBay. Haven't used it, but it looks like it should handle the wiring issues.
Since I have my amp mounted behind the radio, I've been looking at MP5 radios that lack a DVD/CD drive, but can play MP3 and MP4 files. Some of the MP5 players can be had with a rear-view camera and GPS for well under $100 and many also are shallow depth for clearance of an amp. Here's an EBay link - Double DIN MP5 player with GPS for Polaris Slingshot | eBay. Amazon also carries some similar units. A word of caution, many of the off-brand radios use a remote to access setup features, so I tend to look for units that have a built-in Settings button so you're not tied to an easily-lost remote. Also, if the unit has a mirror feature for Android, you can use your phone's GPS/Maps capability and have the cell screen mirrored on the player. That's great info BKL. I'll check your links. I'm not that much up to date on these electronic systems so I thank everyone for sharing their knowledge . I have the SL but Polaris's radio just plain sucks so been looking a bit for a better system . I have an older Garmin GPS (outdated) so a built-in gps will be good, hopefully with mapping updating available.

WOW Huge difference in price there. Saw another one listed at $455 on e-Bay too. Yep they just put the magic words up front. LOL Time for more research.

Welcome Don. I knew you'd eventually end up in a Slingshot after you & the Mrs. took mine for a spin a couple years ago. Surprised it took this long for you to get one but knew you guys had more pressing stuff to handle in your lives. Hope to catch up with once it warms up some more.

Anyone here know what the group rides will be like at Slingshots in the Smokies? Type of rides - leisurely, medium, or fast paced? Number of Slingshots per group, etc. Are all of them starting out in the early mornings or can more than 1 group ride a day be scheduled? And any other related info pertaining to the group rides.

Here's my version of a carrier using my design of a hitch. A stinger could easily be made to fit a bicycle carrier.

Wife and I are signed in. We attended the first rally in 15 but couldn't make it for either 16 or 17 so really looking forward to this event this year.

Well my 2015 battery croaked this week too. It lost voltage a month ago and had to recharge it. It won't keep a charge so I'm in the market for a replacement like so many others here.
I don't want an expensive battery and a wet cell or maybe a agm type will do fine for me.
In my searches I found the following chart showing battery sizes. I looks like a 21 or 26 series is a nearly perfect match for the stock 2015 battery. I'll check out local auto stores and Walmart's tomorrow.
UPDATE: The 121R is taller and just barely fits into the space AND then only if you put the posts to the outside due to the + post being reversed. So forget this battery.I'm checking one of theses first --

This is my version of rear fender. I've had to do some tweaking along the way and now have the final result pictured. The main problem was getting the struts right / strong enough to prevent breakage from vibrations.
