I have a "15" with both a Bullet Speed top & a F-4 +5 windshield. I tried a +3 shield but was looking thru the top edge of the +3 so went with the +5. I'm 5'10". By adding side wings to the windshield, I get plenty of air. Totally happy with my setup.

Thanks CaptJeep. Found my problem. I had the home page enlarged too much, @ 150%. Dropped down to 125% so now it shows.

Yea teething problems, same as we had with the 'new' 15 Slingshots. I'm hoping that by now Polaris is getting those problems worked out, during the last couple years.

I've had my 15 since November 14. I've enjoyed owning it since then, even while Polaris has worked thru various recalls. My only reason for looking at 22+ models is to switch to the auto drive version.

I agree Eadward. I really don't see any big changes from the 22's other than costs. With a 4-6 week backlog on delivery for current orders will Polaris call any delivers after December 23's?

Thanks for all the info guys, especially Kyle & Dave. I'm not sure what route I'll go just yet but certainly appreciate the insight & links provided.
I'm not a hard charging rider but after converting the Slingshot to auto trans there's a bit more drag on the braking system at least it feels that way. So wanting to firm things up.

For those who have installed after market brakes or a big brake kit has that really improved braking effort with less pedal effort & with better stopping?

A friend sent me these pics. Sure looks like someone mounted a early body on a slingshot. Not sure which make or year it could be from thou. Can't say I like it either but appreciate the workmanship on the build.

Anyone have these spoiler wings on their Slingshot? Wondering if they would help preventing or lessing back drafts to the cockpit? I don't have a rear exhaust so I'm not concerned about fumes thou I believe they were designed for that purpass and looks.

Bought my SL in Dec of 14 just a day before X-Mass after having it on order since Sept.. 1st Sling out of my dealers door. Haven't looked back yet nor regretted buying it. I've attended 2 SSITS's, 2k16 But not sure of the other year plus some of our local gatherings.
It's been an amazing experience watching this forum & others & the Slingshot community grow over the years.

I do have to admit that I didn't actually do the trans conversion. I've done my share of wrench turning in the past but left this project to more qualified Mechanics.

On a serious note for those like me that are mechanically challenged when it comes to swapping motors transmissions and the like can you pass on a few tidbits about the transmission you used and how the process went please. I’m a diehard five-speed guy but I’m intrigued by your process. -
My upgrade has been on going since February. I did a trans swap to an auto conversion. I haven't had a lot of seat time but so far I'm loving the results. Now I've got more foot room, no clutch assembly, and a solidly locked trans. You can only shift the shift lever when the key is on & brake depressed. I waited for Polaris to bring out their auto versions but what I saw left a lot to be desired. It just made more sense to do this conversion. Besides being cheaper than buying another Slingshot.
Anyhow I'm a happy Slinger now.

Have you ruled out water in the gas?
