I've been using the 303 aerospace product for a while on the black but read somewhere that someone was using it on the paint on the plastic only. Works great.

@Spudinator, I noticed the passenger side wheel toeing out. Sending you a PM.
Thanks for the info. I will watch it for sure. See you in MV.

Finally got a quick 40 mile run in today. Fronts were set at 6 and rear at 5. Took a not so smooth road (E Pluribus Unum around my house) and felt much better absorption and handling. Will do close to 150 miles tomorrow and will try different settings.
Thanks again to my known friends who did a will work for food (and beer) install and the friends I haven't met yet for sage advice on settings.
Andy did you change the tires also. Between the tires and the shocks it is a totally different ride. -
@Bill Martin loading up in Gatlinburg.

I am leaving Kansas today for a slow trip to Maggie Valley - arriving Tuesday. Had planned to leave last Monday for an even more leisurely trip, but I had to take the Slingshot trailer to Denver. Their early productions have faulty axles that need to be replaced - I bought mine Feb. 2015.
Wishing everyone safe travels! See you in N.C.!!
Did they notify you or did you see problems? I'm assuming you are talking about Ultimate. We picked ours up in September 15. -
I have my old nuts in a nut sack. My old nuts were black. My new nuts are chrome & require a special tool to operate. My new nuts are beautiful. Just thought I'd share that...
Are they good luck? -
Ivor,
Can you tell me how you mounted you plate on the trailer? I have the same trailer and have not found a way to mount a fill size plate to the fender. Thanks, Ralph
Looks like he did the same thing I did. Bent the edge. -
Never ceases to amaze me how all of us scoundrels scored all these hot women. Must be our motorcycles and now Slings that are good bait Well done @Slunglow !!!
Well as I look at your sling it is true Bill chrome will get you laid. -
We use the 3500# Dexter axles with brakes so the tandem axle version would be 7000#
That's what I assumed but was wanting to make sure. -
Here's a western diamondback rattler caught not very far from my house...
Chit! -
I retired last October and haven't looked back. I told the wife we will be using the motorhome frequently and have done so this far and have trips planned the rest of the year. We also told the kids that we may not be there for birthdays but will celebrate when we get back. When I die I want it said that he lives life to the fullest. Why do you think we bought a Slingahot?????

I have mine set 7 on the front and 5 on the back. With the new tires the ride is better than I could have imagine.

@Capt SlingThing did I miss the carrying capacity on the DA?

I picked up a set of gorilla lug nuts at Discount Tire where I bought my wheels.

Many of SS owners on the forum have been in crashes; many have had onlookers damage their SS; but I am not aware of any who have experienced theft. Dealerships may attract such activity, but I wonder if it is really a problem for SS owners. Again, I don't think professional thieves would take such a car and amateurs wouldn't know how to drive it. My Lotus Esprit was often parked in lots or streets, and only once over 20 years did someone try something (apparently an amateur who didn't realize it was stick and got out when he couldn't drive it and was attracting attention to his actions).
This guy was at a crack house in the bad part of Dallas. Someone stuck a screwdriver in his ignition and stole it. The crook was out doing donuts and cracked it up.
