How much bouncing does your hood do when cruising? I'm talking about the back end near the dash.

Liability issue for them...a hole hurts the integrity. Why can't you drill the hole?

If you were going to use a chain lock on a wheel which wheel would you use?
This chain and lock weight about ten pounds....I have two for my bicycles...

My alarm is on right now and I have the cover on it...the wind is blowing making it flap around and I can hear it setting off the perimitor alarm chirps....so is it draining the battery? That's why they recommend keeping a trickle charger hooked up.

I just bought an untitled 2015. Dealer is giving me full warranty...just had it there and the mechanic was driving it in to the bay and he asked me if I felt anything funny with the steering wheel ...I said no and he said he did....see how it jerks a little...something is wrong.
They told me they had one other 2015 with this same issue...it's the steering box...worm gear chipping and the pieces are catching in between the gears causing it to jerk....it needs replaced... Could lead to major steering problem.

Yesterday I was just starting my ride...going down the expressway my ball cap flew off the e brake handle and into the medium....I almost caught it... Anyway my girl friend bought the hat so I thought I would go back to find it....I parked along the berm with flashers on...and proceeded to walk the medium on the side I lost it on.....after walking about two miles without finding it I was headed back toward the bike. A car pulls up with a girl driving and a guy beside her. They asked if I needed help....I tried to flag them on telling them I was ok and they should get out of there before they got killed because their rear end was hallway into the passing lane and the speed limit is 65. Well when I looked back they were still sitting there and in my head I'm running the scenario that they might be going through....
My guess is they came from the other direction and passed me walking and saw my bike there with the flashers on and turned around to catch up to me...the only thing I can think is they may have wanted me to get in the car so they could...use your imagination here...it scared the crap out of me and I started to run walk toward my bike. I looked back again and they were still sitting there halfway on the highway ...my guess is they couldn't make up their mine on what to do....
The lesson here is.... I was pretty stupid to waste my time looking for a $5 hat. I think I was lucky because I don't think they were from AAA... But this is a lesson on how fast an innocent situation could have turned on a dime.
So today I was looking for ways to mount a holster in the bike.

Finding these item cheap is great but regardless of th price you pay....if you're out in the boonies at 3 AM and need one to get back on the road....waiting for your dealer to get it in...you could be dead....

The perimitor detector if set constantly monitors for motion...so I imagine that would require a small power drain. Probably the reason they want you to remove the battery for long storage.

My underwear sucks up water like that...

My dealer suggests you keep a battery tender hooked to it all the time and they install a battery tender pig tail out by the battery box on every slingshot because they know the alarm system drains the battery....my custom van always has a small red light blinking on the dash and I assume it's for the radio alarm or something....but if it sits all winter it needs jumped...and yes I know batteries lose some power naturally everyday they aren't being used.....

Since they removed zinc from motor oil do we need to add zinc to prevent excessive motor wear....my car mechanic said he's putting it in his vehicles.....would that void our warranty...my GMC pickup requires special oil or it voids the warranty...

Is the steering box a GM part or Polaris? Dealer said its $1800
It's covered by warranty because it's an issue they know about. -
I was at the dealer today and while I was waiting...I looked at the plexiglass Windows, windshields, and wind deflectors....for their quads. ...they are 1/4

Somewhere on a slingshot site they seek a helmet lock that bolts on the side pipe...people are mounting them so their helmet locks in and sits on the drivers seat.
I have the Polaris dealer installed alarm and it has a perimeter alarm that starts to chirp to let people know to keep away...it also has a shock feature that chirps if the bike is jarred...
What about using a cockpit cover or seat covers

That's a stock picture. Not my bike...the black plastic triangle sticking out above and behind the tire. Has a rubber bumper on the end of it... The front rubber bumpers are worthless now and are not on the 2017 models. Just empty holes.

After much research I have a list of the Polaris part numbers and what they do. This is for my 2015.
This fuse box is right behind the battery in plain sight The cover is removedThe top 50 amp fuse. #4013892 is the Chassis Main
The middle one same number is for the ABS Motor
The bottom 40 amp fuse. # 4013891 is the Engine MainThe main fuse box under the hood in front of firewall on drivers side.
Four rows of square relays. There is a placement diagram under the fuse box lid.
Using the diagram for correct location.
9-Relays #4011238 feed the
Power train
Fuel pump
Cooling fan
Starter
Fog lights
Accessories
Turn signals
Horn
E Pass2-Relays #4016186 number has changed to #4016819
These relays feed
Primary lights
Aux lights
C
Next row of tall breakers part numbers
10 amp #2434016 this number is for a mini fuse not the 10 amp breaker
BREAKER, CIRCUIT, 10AMP
401137120 amp #4011372. This number could be changed by Polaris
30Amp #2434015. This number is for a mini fuse not the 30 amp breaker ...the correct number is
BREAKER, CIRCUIT, 30 AMP, MINI
4013894Of all the items listed my dealer had one relay on stock. I plan on carrying one of each of these on my bike and if you need one in an emergency don't count on the dealer to have it. Some relays are over $10 each. So plan accordingly. One of each will be in the $50-60 range. This doesn't count the mini fuses.

See the black triangle wing thing at the top of the picture, he was pointing to the rubber at the end of that wing.
