well , I switched the relays and the horn worked both times. However after I switched them, the plug in the glovebox worked. I’m not gonna mess with the one between the seats right now. I’m getting ready to head to the smokies so I don’t want to get to involved yet.
    thanks for the feedback.

OK. That brings the focus back to the power port circuit. I'll try to check the wiring diagrams when I get some time.

    DEAF ITALIAN BOOK KEEPER

A Mafia Godfather finds out that his bookkeeper, Guido, has cheated
    him out of $10,000,000.
His bookkeeper is deaf. That was the reason he got the job in the
    first place.
It was assumed that Guido would hear nothing so he would never have
    to testify in court.
When the Godfather goes to confront Guido about his missing $10
million, he takes along his lawyer who knows sign language.
The Godfather tells the lawyer, "Ask him where's the money?
The lawyer, using sign language, asks Guido where's the money?.
Guido signs back, "I don't know what you are talking about."
The lawyer tells the Godfather, "He says he doesn't know what you're
    talking about."
The Godfather pulls out a pistol, puts it to Guido's temple and says,
    "Ask him again!"
The lawyer signs to Guido, "He'll kill you if you don't tell him.."
Guido signs back, "OK.!!!! You win! The money is in a brown briefcase,
buried behind the shed at my cousin Bruno's house."
The Godfather asks the lawyer, "What did he say?"
The lawyer replies, " He says you don't have the balls to pull the trigger."

Don't you just love lawyers ...

I have one question/comment about the power ports. I assume the Accessory Fuse at the Lower Right corner of the fuse block is for the power ports, but the rear power port between the seats is always on while the one in the glovebox is switched. As such, I would expect there to be a separate fuse or breaker for the always on port between the seats. It's possible that the Accessory Relay controls the power flow to the glovebox power port, but I would still expect there to be a separate fuse or breaker for the rear, always on port. I find it highly unlikely that the rear port would not have fuse or breaker protection since it is always on.

If anyone knows how that port is wired/protected, please comment.

Test the Accessory Relay by swapping it with the horn relay. If the horn still works, the problem lies with the Accessory Relay. If the horn doesn't work after the swap, then the Accessory Relay should be replaced.

Rode up on my electric bicycle next to a big biker dude on a Harley at a stop light earlier today. He looks over, gives the head nod, and I do it back. Then he looks at my bike, and revs his engine a few times. I twist my throttle a bit, and make loud motor cycle noises with my mouth.
Dude just about fell off his bike from laughing so hard. A quick fist bump, light turns green, and we’re off.

I'm trying to order one of the high-low threaded screws that go all over the plastic parts. In particular, I'm looking for the one that is used in the center hood 'vent'. I think it's an M5x20mm, and is a high-low thread, but I cannot find where to buy them at all. The service manual conveniently calls it a 'screw'. Not very helpful. Does anybody know what this screw actually is and where I can buy them?

I call those screws double-threaded screws, but I doubt that's the technical name. Here's a Google search - https://www.google.com/search?…metric+screws+for+plastic and select Images to see lots of pics or use the initial search results to find screws designed for use in securing plastics. Good Luck.

Just realized the search results include several high-low threaded screws.

Are you going to be redoing your install?

The metal shield I used as the basis for my heat shield can flex and therefore doesn't keep out the heat as much as a more rigid shield would, so I may eventually replacement it with a more rigid shield. One advantage of a more rigid shield is you can use some weatherstrip molding to get a better seal to close off the equipment area. I've had it in place over 5 years now. The template I provided in the how-to link is wider than the opening, so if you want to use rigid foam for the heat shield, I'd recommend assembling the template and then using it to develop a tighter fitting template for the rigid foam.

Thanks, I searched and finally found it. Here is the link to that post

Insulating the Infotainment Cubby Area From Engine Compartment Heat

As poster of the that thread, I recommend you try using the insulated foam board to hopefully provide more insulation. After making the aluminum panel I originally posted about and then adding the self-stick insulation to the panel, I've never really gotten used to the flexibility of the the combo. I'd assume a something like 1" foam insulation board would be less flexible.
