Just looked at the merchandise in the store and noticed there were no shirts w/pockets. I guess either they weren't a popular seller or not offered by your current supplier. I just got this thing about needing a pocket on my shirt! Oh well.

I do plan on ordering a coffee mug or bier stein or two, though.

Also, any idea if laptop skins might be available? I used to see them everywhere a few years ago, but they seem to be rarer than hen's teeth nowadays.

Generally speaking, the higher the antenna is mounted, the better the reception. Polaris laid it on its side under the rear fin for some reason. I have a Base model w/o the factory antenna. I currently have a rubber duck-type antenna and discovered when I raised it above the edge of my Top the reception improved dramatically.

I tend to prefer a firm mattress while my Wife prefers a plusher (aka softer) mattress. I also am cheap and can't see paying some of the rices the mattress stores demand. I know they're making money even when they have a so-called 50% off sale. Our last 2 mattresses were mattress-in-a-box units from CostCo or Sams. but are a little more firm than my Wife really likes.
I tend to use the bed to read before going to sleep, but typically move to the floor for an initial sleep period of 1-2 hours before moving back to the bed to complete my sleep. My Wife usually prefers a Lazy Boy recliner, but I don't understand how she can sleep on her side since the recliner isn't anywhere close to flat!
I recently came across this mattress at Sam's (prod20633924.ip) that I am considering as a replacement for our current mattress we bought in late Summer 2009. I've found it hard to find a soft mattress online since mattress softness seem to be pretty much a subjective thing. Now, I just need to decide on a King adjustable base or dual twin adjustable bases and mattresses. My overall goal is to get everything for as far under $1.5-2K as possible while meeting our needs.

I don't really care that much for crowds, so I tend to avoid concerts. While we were stationed in West Berlin in the 1970s, me went to a concert by Steppenwolf at the Berliner Philharmonie. They played as if they were at an outdoor venue with no acoustics and the Germans were literally shouting at them to turn the volume down!
The last two concerts me attended were both Barry Manilow concerts (my Wife likes his music). The first was at an outdoor venue at near Harvard University when it started raining during the show. One of the dancers slipped and got injured, but they basically got her off-stage and continued their performance. Barry likes to pick a woman from the audience and bring her on stage for a song and the women he picks are often VERY excited. He gives them a picture to commemorate their appearance and told us that one time the woman was so excited that she literally wet herself while on-stage. He then commented how some men make women swoon, but he makes them urinate!
I had once planned to take my Wife to a Seal concert, but that got canceled when she got sent TDY at the last minute and I didn't want to go by myself and we haven't been to a concert since.
Back in the late 1990s, I had tickets to take our youngest Daughter to a concert, but gave up my ticket so she could take a friend. I had to drive them there and spent the concert reading in my car. Watching the so-called parking attendants driving around in their golfcart while selling "entertainment enhancers" was quite an eye-opening experience.

Jack up the sling by the swing arm and see if the license plate is contacting the fender. I saw this a few years ago on a sling at Metricks shop. If so it requires a plate relocation as offered by Metricks and others.

IIRC, you posted somewhere you have your shocks set as soft as possible. If so, maybe the plate is hitting something.

Why not run a die on the stems and rethread them to 8mm?

Uh...because it just never occurred to me??( I wasn't aware I could just use a die to reduce 10 mm thread to 8 mm thread w/o otherwise reducing the diameter first.
Just installed a different mirrors set this evening but rain/wet roads kept me from a test drive.

Update - 7.8.18 - Got a short test ride this afternoon. The mirrors didn't vibrate up to 75 mph. With my Twist Dynamics Top, since these mirrors have threaded stalks, I needed a mirror with a relatively straight stalk to clear the Top's frame arms and the windshield and these fit w/o problem. After threading the stalks in place, I then tightened the nut at the base of the mirror stalk to secure the mirror stalks in position. The mirrors adjusted w/o problem and didn't seem to lose positioning during the ride. These are the mirrors I tried - B00KM9139Q. Due to the short mirror stalks, I need to look between the Top frame's downtubes and my MadStad windshield as shown in the pics.

So far, I feel these are decent mirror given their cost of less than $15. If I keep them, I plan on adding some 2" rotating blind spot mirrors to make it easier to see the road surface near my rear tire when reversing. I'm also considering some mirror to attach to the dash trim pieces, but I haven't yet committed myself to drilling thru the trim and dash pieces, so i guess I'll give these an extended tryout first.

I just had a similar experience. Ordered some motorcycle mirrors to replace the Slingshot mirrors, but didn't measure the Slingshot mirror studs and ordered 10mm threaded mirrors when I need 8mm. Just going to donate the mirrors rather than shipping them back.

That is so true most likely you have more of the tabs broken it happens when they are overtighten at the Polaris assembly plant. My dealer replaced them. Use the search feature I posted a fix that worked very well until i got the seats replaced.

My point was to use the JBWeld inside the seat back or securing the aluminum strip to the outside of the seat back to form a new means of screwing the seat in place.

Hey all! Who has QA1 shocks? I thought there was a posting on some starting points for settings. What do you find as a good starting point for track days v/ street, etc? Anyone? Just wanted to see what others have found.

Don't remember if he addresses track setup or not, but he has raced Pike's Peak, IIRC.

So I was cleaning the SS this morning and found a couple loose screws on the passenger seat. They are on the lower seat back. Anyone have an issue with this? They appear to have a nut on the opposite end that you can’t access and they can’t tighten.

Try squirting some JBWeld into the hole and allowing it to harden before redrilling the screw hole so the threads can cut new grooves. Hopefully, the JBWeld will resist just spinning around inside the seat and allow a firm reattachment.
Another possible solution is to place a thin sheet of aluminum across the hole and anchor it on both sides of the hole and then use a properly sized hole thru the aluminum to allow the screw to re-establish its grip in the aluminum strip.

The shipper will skin you alive on return shipping.

Don't remember the exact cost to UPS the wheel back, but I think it was in the $30-50 range. I felt it was smarter to do that than just keeping a wheel I didn't want/couldn't use. Fortunately, I only had to do it once as the AM wheel I bought had a SH..load of clearance around the caliper.

I've seen a similar one on EBay that doesn't have the extension on the rear portion of the spoiler. The problem with rear deck mount spoilers is making sure you have support that connects to the frame members and not just the plastics. That particular mount appears to be able to be moved pretty easily to a fit over the frame members underneath the plastic.
You also need to make sure the spoiler is positioned such that the spoiler clears the center brakelight fin.

I put my rear wheel up front! Took the 20x9 and purchased another, so I have two 27OD Nitto 555 G2 255 on the front. Purchased an 18x10 for the back and been using a ~28OD tires there. Been messing with different tires. Had the MT on the back and just got another Nitto G2 295 come in to give that a try. Just trying to keep with the 1 inch larger in the rear.

I originally tried a 295/30R18 Sumitomo HTR Z III on my stock base rear wheel to be as close as possible to the stock diameter. Guess I'll need to try a 555 G2 295/45R18 when I free up another stock rear Base wheel.

Marine-rated amps can still short-out if exposed to too much water. All the marine rating really means is the circuits are coated to reduce/minimize corrosion from exposure to water/saltwater. That's why people still use spacers to raise the amp above the floor when positioned under a seat.

When I first started looking for low-cost wheels that would accommodate wider tires on the SLingshot, I tried a wheel from JEGS, IRC, but ended up returning it when I carefully mounted it and realized it only had about 1/16" clearance between the wheel and the brake caliper. Just check on the firm's return policy before you order and be prepared to pay more than a few Dollars to ship the wheel back if you need to return it.
I was originally going to have a stock Base wheel widened, but realized that can add its own complications and added costs such as a spacer to handle the changed Offset.
