I don't know if it's a hobbie. But it's a money pit. I am into home automation. I have nearly every switch in my house controlled via automaton. And I monitor every door lock and can control them.

I have my alarm tied to the automation system so each zone can trigger and influence a light or any other activity. 18 zones of 89 total sprinklers are each controlled by automation. Climate control is also controlled and their are the 12 HD 720 cameras around the property. Water and power are monitored and graphed. Each powered device has its own unique power signature that shows up in real-time.

There is a lot more going on but that is kind of a basic idea of my place. The money pit comes into play when you figure out that there is some sort new device coming on the market every day.

I was with Geico for 12 years and they even had my home thru a Travlers policy. I dropped them and went with Nationwide on everything when I started shopping for the Slingshot insurance.. I am at roughly 700 a year and that includes 3000.00 in accessory coverage. Here is my actual declaration page. I think when you balance it out with my auto coverage it works out to be a pretty good price. And I try to keep my deductibles on average. Is this fairly good coverage?

I have a JL 300 mono on them at the moment.... But now I think Im going to move a JL 1000 that I have in my toolbox drawer to do the job. I think the 300 may get a little hot driving those 12" subs. The 1000 wouldn't ever be under a strain.

Dont get me wrong the 300 is hammering them so hard it makes your vision blurry but I just think it would be better to use the larger amp so that it would never be under a strain. I would say that If I didn't have the 1000 I wouldn't go buy one but why not use it since its collecting dust.....

Yep. You were really close to bumping it. I think mine is set at 6800. But the needle swinging is a bit broad. SO you may see a few hundred RPM of play....

Just migrated from the Dark Side, didn't post much there but did enjoy the info provided but since all the familiar names providing the info are now here it was time. Bought my Sling at the end of March but the weather here in PA has been crappy recently, can't wait to get back out. Nice to see everyone here.

When you registered did you have any issue putting in your birthdate? I'm troubleshooting an issue with that field and I need some input.

Y'all made me smile. I appreciate everyone of you being here. I logon several times a day from my phone and it just makes my day to see everyone posting and sharing.

I have to say that I would love to post one more thing on the other side. But I'm afraid my sense of judgement might get muddied. The thing that bothered me the most is when I read the post that someone made that said the following....

I see all the people that agreed and liked his post and even though I don't know the poster or those others people I just wish they knew me. They would understand it wasnt a flash decision. It had been going in since Christmas. I made phone calls to people about problems with the forum from the Wynfry Hotel in Birmingham while my wife shopped for Christmas gifts.

It really doesn't matter anymore. Its just the past. And I have a copy and paste feature on my computer. I will have all my content over here soon.

Thanks to everyone for your support. If you need anything just ask.
