No, what are you going to do on the road if you have the problem that @rabtech had?
I can tell you what you would do.... You would have to call a rollback wrecker if your problem involved taking off the rim......

I know everyone here wishes you the best and a fast rebuild....
I am so glad your still able to come to Maggie Valley and I know everyone else feels the same way....
Are we there yet? This month needs to hurry up and get over with already....
First I will look to thank all the venders and friends that make the Slingshot family so great.
I received many phone calls and emails wishing us the best. We are all fine and the shop can be repaired. Not one Slingshot or any parts or accessories where damaged. We are open and running full steam ahead.
Yes we are still going to Maggie Valley!!!!
This will only make our family stronger.
Once again,
Thank you all for being their!!!

Sorry it caused your vacation to end early.... But I'm glad you shared the issue with us...
I have thought about moving the burp bottle before and changing it with a stainless container.... I just never sourced a nice container. Problem with a new container is that it has to be mounted at the same height as the stock one. So you are basically trading plastic for metal... (which is good). I just wish we could mount it lower somewhere else...
Engine is bassakwards.
Hopefully they are pretty tough. We have seen several that have smacked an object and the studs are still holding on strong. It's just those dang crappy lug nuts that will bite you in the butt.
Changing to different studs couldn't hurt though. Especially if you were going to torture the rims with extreme g forces.
INewton was just asking if I knew of a longer stud. He may be adding a spacer or something to his.
We just need new lugnuts.
So, do I need to change the studs now or will just new lug nuts work for the time being? I ask because I need to get everything ready in time for MV and I have very limited time to get everything done. Have to wait until I get back before I can paint my calipers so I thought I would change the studs at that time.
No. The studs are fine. You just need to change the lug nuts. They suck. Let me find my Summit Racing part number. I will post it in a few minutes.
Thanks Rab
I prefer steel - they don't look as nice but I think they are stronger and have less issues when used on steel studs
That would be my thought as well.
Duplicolor caliper paint kit. I use the can and brush kit. It smooths out nice. I just use my judgement on how tight I tighten most things. I only break out the torque wrench whe it's related to engine components such as bearing caps and things like that.
44 years old yesterday and my method works for me. But others may need the torque specs to get it right.
More pictures and info from Noel.
All customers Slingshots are fine!
I added the 10 to mine and let the battery die...ugh. Tried a set of jumper cables I had and they are toast...so I am going to push start mine today.
Remember you need a little battery to run the fuel pump. You may also want to add the battery jump points to yours.
I got my lug nuts from summit racing. They are steel.
Thanks so much.
Longer studs?? I don't. But maybe using the Dorman part number you can find them.
How much longer do you need them?
I warned you @Shack I would delete the end cap pictures. You better be glad I'm in a good mood this morning.
The video and pictures your seeing me post came direct from Noel.
