    back from the dead?
any more info on what others have done for the wings? Don't really want to drill into the body of the SS. And I do like that curve style of the spoilers that TD and Alpha have.
Has anyone gone that route but with other options?

    Hi,

Don't want to sounds like a party pooper but was wondering the status on the orders. Today is exactly 2 months since placing it and wondering how much longer?
Next week is Thanksgiving weekend and after that December is here.
If this is going to take 3 months+, um can I cancel?
Holiday season I travel a lot because of work and family so I most likely will not be here if/when it arrives.

(Please don't take this as an insult, anger, hatred or any other form of negative comment. I'm just worried about the status and how my schedule will be during the Holidays).

    Thanks
    Reggie

how are you able to read the ecu for the new ride command unit?
I thought ss didnt have a OBD2 port for us to run an adapter?

Is the harness connecting to somewhere on the ecu?
Really interested on that and how engine temp/voltage/mpg/other ecu related items are being read without the obd2 port (unless i'm way off and need a drink)

I changed my speakers out with Polk audio. They are great sounding compared to the factory ones. They are the 6.5 marine grade. I also changed the head unit out with pioneer. All in all I think I got about a little over 3 hundred in the system and a much better sound. I also bout the Polk audio 10 inch sub but haven't installed it yet cause I'm not ready to give up my storage spaces.

can you link the ones you used?
is it a night and day difference?
how did you install the 6.5 in the stock pods?

I know I know, another audio thread. :(

    Hey folks,
So today was listening to some music on the SS and then went to my buddy's car and heard his..... I wanted to rip my "system" apart.
The SS SL system just sounds muddy as hell compared to, anything I think.
Of course he did spent 1k on his setup so it better be good!

So I got to thinking, I would love to get my system started. I don't want to dish out 1 or 2 grand on a system all at once especially since now that it's getting colder here, I won't be riding this too much so it will be a waste.
I want to start with the basic, speaker upgrade.
Thinking more about it, I have two options:
    1. Do a cheap upgrade now and then a big upgrade later on. The cheaper speaker like the Pioneer will get me better audio and then later I can get a really good marine grade one.
    2. Just do a big upgrade for the speaker now so that I don't have to do another replacement again and can move onto the next item.

I kind of don't like wasting money especially since I know later on this will need to happen but my concern is that if I do a really good upgrade to the 5.25 speakers now, the stock head unit won't be able to run it and requires aftermarket amp, etc. The cheaper speakers will just work from the start.

What do you guys recommend? So many of us have done system upgrades so just wondering if anyone is in my shoes. 5.25 Speaker upgrade first but to go cheap now and then expensive later or just expensive now so future proof.
Can you also link any really good speakers for the 5.25 replacement? The only one that I came across that's dirt cheap are: Pioneer TS-G1345R but not marine so that kind of sucks (especially when it's washing time)
And yes I'd love to go 6.5 but that enclosure is $200 which is a bit much unless there is a way to get a 6.5 in there without surgery! Does the 5.25 to 6.5 adapter work well?

    BTW:
future plan is to run all speakers via 1 amp
run a sub (or two) via another amp
head unit will be last to replace since they they so often (cosmetics)

    I'll add mine:
just upgraded to Michelin Super Sports - 285/30/20 on stock SL rim.
Huge difference with grip when riding but bumps are noticeable (especially hard ones). But the grip.... she keeps griping now matter how hard I push to break the rear loose so now I have to get more HP to counter this :D

Quick note, is there a performance difference to upgrade the fronts at all? The rear was obvious for me but now I'm wondering if I should do the fronts too.
Also what is the widest I can go on the SL fronts, currently stock running: 225/45R18 Kenyas

just installed it. wow what a sound difference!!

just a word of caution to others, after installing it, make sure you check for clearance between hood but also check for clearance between the level to open the hood.
for me both played an issue and thankfully i had to tools to fix it asap. I also adjusted the latch so now it opens even better then before :) pics and video to follow

pic of the setup and video of install.
I didn't install the relay, did you guys?

    hey guys,
installing it now. just curious... do i need to worry about positive and negative or is that OK? i noticed there weren't any signs on the horn so wasn't sure

Hi @xxx4reggie and all. Been up to my eyeballs in catch-up from the Irma experience, else I'd have materialized earlier this week. This being our first full week with power, we're getting there, but it's an uphill climb.

The GB fills as people make their purchases on the website. The way to reserve your space is to make that purchase, and then when we have 15 sold, we proceed to order/build/deliver to all.

Sir I couldn’t wait and bought it after posting the question lol ;)
    And in red!
