That is what we all seem most gifted at.... derailment! I've lived not only in the state of Indiana all my life, I've lived in the same town! I've also been here long enough to know to get anything I might want at the house on Sunday, before said Sunday! Then again, I'm 8 miles from the state line on the Ohio side..... so not a big deal anyway!

I know exactly where Lynn, Indiana is. A buddy of mine is from over by Winchester. Many moon ago I got a speeding ticket in Modoc!!! I was Modocing In Modoc!!!

@CDCAMEL6 that was funny! When I was a young guy (12) there was a place (General Store) I could get .22 LR in boxes of 50 or 100. Owner knew my parents, knew I had the rifle, knew I shot regularly. I had a paper route, and mowed yards. How times (and being responsible) have changed. I was more responsible at that age.... Well, I'll just not go there. This is not a politics thread, nor a personal responsibility thread. :)

I believe Indiana is the only state (or 1 of only a very few) that still do not allow carry out alcohol sales on Sunday. I was transferred here in a job back here in 1987. I would hear alot of people talk about "Sunday Beer". At first I thought it was some Hoosier rite of Holy Communion or something!!! Quickly realized that it meant- buy anything you may want to drink on Sunday on Saturday or you were driving to get it!!!! Back then you couldn't even buy alcohol in restaurants on Sunday!!! And yes, I have horribly derailed this thread!!!

Grew up in Illinois. They have had restrictions for buying ammo for a very, very long time. You have to have a F.O.I.D. card to even buy shotgun shells. Now I live in Indiana. In good ole Indiana I have been in places where you can buy liquor, ammo, firearms, cigs, groceries, and fireworks all under one roof!!!! The way it should be!!! Just can't buy carryout alcohol on Sunday's. You have to drive to Illinois, Ohio, Kentucky , or Michigan for that!!!

Welcome @Cypressfunk13 !!! A very fun and informative forum to be part of. My 2 cents on a good initial upgrade to do if you plan on doing alot of "power hungry" mods would be installing an Optima battery. The 2016 and up Slingshots went with a very small battery for weight savings. I noticed a huge difference when I installed the aftermarket battery box with a yellow top Optima battery. No volt drops with those bad boys if you are running amps, lighting, or whatever!!! Have fun, you will spend lots of $$$, and Sling On!!!

Lot of talk that when I69 is finished from Bloomington to Indy that they will make all interstate roads around Indy "pay access" roads. This would include I465, I665, I65, I70, & I69!!! Of course the final 35 miles of I69 will probably take 20 more years the way it is going!!!

Indiana is based off of vehicle value...so needless to say it's a shit ton! I have my 2015 RAM, a 2014 Jeep, and a trailer...plus now the SS. My plates on the SS I think are about $230; with the $15 fee for Marine Corps plates :S

Feel your pain!!! 16 GMC Canyon, 14 Cadillac SRX, & 16 Slingshot. $15 each for Colts, NRA, & Humane Society plates. Yeah I am a sucker!!!

Shit what does Indiana plate renewal cost our is $114 ish. When you have several plates that hit in the same month it kinda sucks!

Yes it does!! My truck, my wife's suv, & the Sling were almost $1000. Indiana didn't get in the "black" fiscally by solely selling off the toll roads to private companies. I love the BMV excuse that at least you don't pay excise when you buy your gasoline. Some consolation I guess. NOT!!!

Welcome!!! I live in Indiana also. Just south of Indy. This forum is great!!! A lot of real quality people who know a lot about Slingshots. I learn something new everyday when I get on here. Doesn't matter if it is electrical, mechanical, style, or anything else to do with a Sling, SOMEBODY most likely several people have the answer. Very entertaining also!!! Let me know if I can ever be of help!!!

Holy thread hijack. That's sweet looking. Does that have a make and model number on it?

The model # of the extinguisher is- AMEREX A620. Was told the mounting brackets and quick release were machined by the grandfather of the team owner.

A good friend of mine works for the veterinary science department. He lives near Savoy. He is probably going to be a Slingshot owner in the near future.
