Looks good!! Is that an AMR kit? they show a P40 kit but there's no pic available anywhere as to what it looks like, is that it?
A buddy of mine airbrushed this

I'm getting sold on that.... like I said, mine has done it since stock right out of the box(lol) so I am pretty sure it's in ECM programming.... I just need to find somebody local to help that knows the SS and has experience, DDMWORKS is far away....
Joe ,
What state do you live in ? I can send you a kit with a base tune for a local haltech tuner to work from or we can arrange to come get your bike and do a complete install for you .
Ecu , harness , wideband , racepak gauges will run about $3200.00 in parts that I can ship to you and email a base tune .

Joe ,
I wanted to also add that some people that converted to haltech and larger injectors and properly tuned are having no issues with the stock pump and we probably would have been fine replacing the pump with a new stock one but we had plans to run flex fuel so we needed a return system and opted for external pump.

We are running at 50psi and a aem pump and regulator .

Hmmmmm, can you please tell me/us what pump system you changed out to and what pressure do you run or is regulator set already? How does return work(plumbed back to tank)?
Thank you for input! Joe

Thank you guys! At least It feels good we share a problem. Its not life changing and we all seem to be able to deal with it in our own ways, dang are we a stubborn bunch! Thank you all for the input!
Hello everyone, sorry for my delay in responding to this .
I'm well aware of this problem and one thing we found out just recently as we converted our 12th slingshot to haltech .
On the alpha we noticed a rich afr until it hit 4500 rpm and then the afr went way lean on a heavy pull .
We checked a variety of things such as ignition and fuel system in haltech diagnostics mode .
660 injectors looked good but at 4500 rpm the injector flow rate was 100% which helped us figure out that the fuel pump was not able to keep up.
We discovered it was still the stick fuel pump . Bingo !
We tore it out , install a inline with pressure regulator and added a return !
Boom ! No more popping and alpha system is better but still needs a little more tlc but the haltech system is so flexible and allows us to dive deep and diagnose all aspects of our engines!
We also went with a cold plug .

Hey brother
You gonna bring one of those hot rods to track day in Savanna?
Yes sir , that's my goal . 2 Honda powered slingshots !

I have several requests on total price , I'm almost done other than it difficult getting a standard price on the s2000 motor . They are a varying . That's why I'm building a K24 that are very popular and Honda civics are everywhere.

Ok everyone, K24 motor tear down getting ready to happen after we finish this hot rod .

Well our awd is still in Fabrication mode so that will have to wait but it's exciting to see this getting ready to hit the ground for testing .

To clarify after reading my last post , my goal is to make sure it's good for a daily driver .
Sent from my iPhone using Polaris Slingshot Info
FYI , he has a 1500HP K24 going back in his car with a 2 speed powerglide.
After testing in my slingshot and making sure all is well and the 700HP Honda Civic motor is not to much for a daily driver .
We will start making it available, already have 3 lined up for conversion though.

The Honda K is built and proven to withstand 55lbs of boost as it sits in the S2k chassis now.
Sent from my iPhone using Polaris Slingshot Info
We will have to detune because the 868HP it way to much , probably try to come down to 700 and go hunt me some Shelby and hellcat

Is the S2K engine still cheaper then the built ecotech after you add a 2,000 dollar haltech ecu needed for the S2K engine? I also assume it would require some custom fabricated conversion parts as well.
Actually we have shifted from the S2k engine to the K24 which is actually in the S2K pictured . The Honda Civic engine is more affordable and easier to find . The S2K engine is more expensive are harder to get your hands on.
Besides that , the K is also cheaper to get more HP out of . Check out some youtube on Honda cars killing off some big power making cars.
I'm making a adapter plate now to bolt the K motor to the GM 5 speed and the automatic tranny and then I should have a more accurate price . Still should be cheaper even with haltech .

I'd kill for a shop in CA actually doing swap work and furthering the SS addiction. Seems we have to watch all the fun from afar or order kits and tackle the work ourselves. I'd prefer a Honda platform over this Chevy.
Shame really.
Intrigued by this thread and happy to watch from afar.
Once we are finished and everything is to my satisfaction and I'm proud to offer it as a option . Probably could arrange transportation to and from east coast SS family. Get ready to see a sleeper . Hellcat hunter , vette silencer , mustang tamer coming to you soon . Sorry in advance , just trying to be a jokester but we all know that the aerodynamics of the slingshot are not the greatest to go head to head on long straights with American muscle but 1/4 is where I'm focused on for now .
Already know that this engine in this S2000 is already mopping the floor with these cars by several seconds at 868 HP .
Proof in the pudding coming soon .

Well it's our winter project and we will release its prototype in the spring but we are very excited about no more traction issues . Most do not want the 2 wheel conversion and plus it's very expensive.
We found the doner vehicle parts to make this happen and once again haltech Ecu has helped make this happen .
Sorry but other people will go after this and claim this for themselves so I have to minimize the release of data for now.

Display MoreWhy not awd conversion? Keep the trike setup but 3wd. If that can happen, talk about stealth SS!
As for engine options, glad anything is there besides the ecotech that comes with the SS. Man this thread got me excited!
