    That is how started driving mine, I delay my shift and it does not seem to have the problem. Now, the backfire I started having was as soon as I installed the 1320 variable exhaust,I am using the middle size baffle, I had the TwinShot exhaust on it but DDM recommended I change it out due to the Hi-Flow CAT that has been untested. I ran it with the SC for 2 weeks with no issues, but changed it out last week as I don't want to take chances, now it will backfire once, in between shifts, even under normal driving. It does not do it a lot but it has never done that before the 1320. Its rather loud backfire that makes my girlfriend jump...lol Any ideas with that?
    I am a rather experienced Tech, but sometimes its the simple things that are hard to duplicate that frustrate me and most techs....

  • Hood rattle

    Another rattle on hood could be the black plastic covers were the extra headlights could be mounted, they are a loose fit, mine rattled. Just pop them off and a little black silicone behind them and pop them back on.

    I love my DDM SC, only takes about 6 hours to install, I used hand tools, hardest part was breaking the crank bolt loose! Everything was well thought out, perfect fit.
    Power is incredible!!!!

    DDMworks has been trying to figure it out also. Its not their problem, but they may be the ones to crack this issue. I do all my own work but am limited when it comes to flashing, knowing the ECM parameters on this. I flash, upload,install trim files on Caterpillars all the time but doesn't do me any good with this. I am learning to drive with the problem but would like to find the real fix to it as I am pretty picky and like having my machines run right.

    Hey guys, Strange issue I have had for a while in stock setup that I still have with many Mods including the SC.
    Sometimes if you are in lets say 3rd gear, and you punch throttle and let off, then punch throttle again, engine falls on its face and sputters real bad, If you let off for a second and punch it, it goes like nothings wrong. I noticed it stock, but now with SC on it, its even more noticeable. There are no codes showing and it runs very strong except for this. Also, If you shift fast from 2nd to 3rd or 3rd to 4th on rare occations it does it too. Once in a while since I installed the 1320 exhaust a couple weeks ago I get a backfire, not often but its only when I shift between gears. I talked to DDMWorks, although this problem was way before Mods and still in stock form, they have had this issue also, about 50% has this problem. Any guesses or ideas would be appreciated and I am open to try anything.
