In Hindsight, I would say that this is a relatively easy install but the direction are worst then any Ikea Ones I've seen! They says to jack up the back and remove the back tire but this can be done without doing that.

The biggest pain in the butt for me was getting the clips in place to put the bottom bolts in as I have a 2017 SLR which removed the bolts (for weight savings) and put the push-pins in their place so you need to reach behind the back panel to put the clips in. They also suggest putting all of the bottom bolts in place with the washer on them, this is an exercise in futility with just one person so put all the bolts in, get the fender in place then remove them one at a time and put the washers on then replace. The other two keep it lined up pretty well. You do have to some some tweaking to get the top mounted but it seems to line up pretty well.

It should also be noted that you remove the old License Plate holder, remove the Reflector Assembly from it and then mount the license plate holder / light to the fender after you install the clips, not sure why they wouldn't install the clips before hand as this isn't optional unless you don't run a plate or relocate it. The confusing part is that you reuse the reflector but at the top of the fender not with the license place.

If anyone has any questions, let me know maybe I can help.

What are these hinges you speak of?

There are a few different versions of Hood Hinges that allow the Hood to be opened up much more. I know that Cycle Springs / Slingshot Only offers a set that I've seen personally and they do a lot and also help with closing the hood and even pops it open. I assume the Madstad ones are the same / similar?

I was there the first weekend and very impressed with Polaris in general, all of their products we displayed very prominently but they really did seem to be pushing the Slingshot hard. This seems to coincide with the rumors that them dumping the Victory line (that was still a big part of the show) and going all-in on the Slingshot with an Automatic version, a stripped down version as well as a turbo version. We were talking to all of the different people while we were there, they didn't confirm anything other than they are really going to be promoting the hell out of them and they see what people are doing to them and taking note.

Hey everyone due to work circumstances I am unable to ride my Slingshot back up to MA from FL anytime soon so I am looking for a reliable company to transport her back. I want enclosed & insured.

Anyone that has used a transport company before please let me know how much you paid. I've seen / heard of pricing anywhere from well under $1000 to well over $2000.

    Any recommendations?

    Thanks in advance.

Hey Guys - Sorry if I missed any one that was down this past weekend, sadly we were only there Fri afternoon to Sunday morning, I had to fly back before the blizzard. It was a great time, met so many really cool people including several from Polaris in the Slingshot division at the Speedway, they really seem to be going all in with the Slingshot.

This pictures was taken on the Loop on Saturday after the Group Ride from the Indian Dealer.

Here's a Fun video of getting caught on one of those lovely FL Downpours while leaving Daytona.

Hey Everyone I was wondering if anyone was planning on going down to Daytona for Bike Week. This is my first year with my Slingshot and since she's already in FL I am flying down tomorrow (Tuesday) and will be there for the first weekend.

Let me know if you are coming down / in the area and hopefully we can meet up.

Key Word here is "Recall" There is no charge for any of the Recall work, as mentioned you are seeing an invoice for their internal billing / paperwork you shouldn't have seen any charge whatsoever. I got a similar quote from a dealer but I had a ton of other stuff on there and they just made a mistake. Obviously I would clarify but if they try and charge for a penny look for another dealer and let Polaris know.

The problem (In my opinion) coming from the Motorcycle World and dealing with this on a few bikes is that when you "Replace" a standard bulb with an LED you get a Super Bright Light when looking at it but it doesn't "Project Out" this is mostly because the housing / reflector isn't designed for the bulb. HIDs on the other hand are very similar to the original bulb do it takes advantage of the reflector and not only is it bright to look at but it is also projected out.

Some might argue that LED in general doesn't really cut the dark as well as conventional lights but that is debatable as I've seen some LED lights that throw off an insane amount of light.

I have an SLR with the Canadian Kit and have been pretty much talked out of upgrading to HIDs because of the Power Draw and potential issues with the wiring harness. I am sure / hopeful that someone will come out with something that we know will work without burning anything up.

fun house 69 how do you make your own cold brewed? I 've been buying cold brewed and it tasted better to me then the hot stuff.

So sorry I did not see this until now, you can do your own cold brew several different ways, simple as can be you can get a large mason jar and a "Spice" Bag, put in 6oz of your favorite grounds in the spice bag and put in 48oz of water and let it sit for24 - 48 hours (Note the Bag will try and float until the grounds get saturated / so hold them down with something). Then you still would want to filter it using typical drip filters and you can store it for up to two weeks. This will give you a "Concentrate" of about 2-1 or even 3-1 depending on how strong you like it. I usually go 1/2 cup each of Brew, Milk and Water and a little simple syrup.

If you want to spend a little money XO Makes a Cold Brew Setup that kind of looks like a blender, I got one for Christmas and use it all the time. It still pretty much the same, put the grounds in the container and the water let it sit then flip the switch to let it drain in to the carafe (it has a screen for filtering as well as paper filters) take the used grounds and save them for your garden.

Obviously this is personal preference and very subjective but once I started doing my own Cold Brew I've never looked back, its the smoothest coffee I've ever had and helps reduce acid issues that some people have. This is way, way different than the stuff you buy in the store.
