I do have a back up plan if needed. I went thru Hurricane Hugo in Charleston, South Carolina and I know what you mean. I learned my lesson that night.
My daughter lives in Madisonville, La. I have never been to Lake Charles, but I know your area was devastated not long ago with floods from a never ending rain. Hope all is well in Lake Charles now. I will let you know the next time in am down visiting my daughter.

It looks like Matthew will be making a right turn. Forecast is much improved for the SE coast of Virginia. Looks like I might even get my SS out on Sunday.

Still waiting to see where Matthew is headed along the coast. Started stocking up on food,beer, propane, and gas for the generator tonight. If Matthew takes a turn to the east then all of the local SS owners should throw a big party. Will be holding down the fort. If we lose power I am ready. Hoping it makes a right turn.

I have been warned about riding in the rain. Hope you can get out for a ride later on today. I am working today, so tomorrow is my only day for a ride. I would be interested in the Peeks of Otter (hope I spelled it correctly) ride. Seems like a great place. Leaves will be changing color shortly. It is a good ride from here but I would spend the night and come back home the next day.
Thanks for the welcome V-SHOT. I lived in Indian Lakes for a few years back in the 70's. I lived on Willow Brook Court. I now live in Castleton near Oceana off of London Bridge Road. Just purchased my SS about 30 days ago, 2017 SLR in orange madness. I rode Harley Davidsons for many years, but after several knee operations I finally had to admit to myself that the old knees just could not be trusted holding up a 1,000 pound motorcycle. I went without a motorcycle for 4 years, but I really missed riding in the open air. If the weather holds out for tomorrow I will be going for a ride. I will reply to you in the morning . Well I am a new member with the crew, but I am glad I can add my Orange SS in with all the Red and Gray. Totally stock so I am not threat to passing anyone. Looking forward to meeting some crew members in the near future.
