Bullet ..hands down..... and I will preface the following comments with they are based on what is happening today and have no bearing on past products .... better quality, better materials, more choices, and a more stable company situation for future concerns .....

We also have bullet concept top, and have been very pleased. Good workmanship, and where the bars attach are by far a superior design than some others that take away from rather than add to.... I don't Like the tops that take away cup holders or that installs along the frame rail of the entry/ exit of cockpit. It's hard enough for a tall person to pull that last leg in without having to also clear the top framing... And don't mess with my cup holder... I need it. Both of them :) I did see that they made a " clip on" or whatnot to replace the one that the madstad (i think that's the one...) Takes away.... Didn't like the look of the cup holder floating halfway up between seats either.

Hey, I heard this is where all the cool kids hang out!

HEY! WOULD YOU LOOK AT THIS!? WOULD YOU YOU JUST LOOK AT THIS??!! I SMELL A VENDOR! WELCOME BILL!

Hello, Ralph here. I live in North Alabama (Madison), have a 2015 Red SL picked up mid March 2015 have 9000 miles.

Looking forward to the SSITS event.

HEY! Glad your could join us! This forum is much better than that other peyton place.... :D
and all you Crimson Tide family is HERE!

I dont know of him... Theres another couple we have ridden with along with @BigRedSS and his wife, they live in Guntersville and have a red slingshot but they arent apart of any forums I know. They can't make it to SSITS because of work schedules

Hope the weather plays nice, I dont mind the rain if its warm... taken a few rain showers on a bike... only ones that sucked were the cold AND wet ones...

Hope I can talk my husband into leaving earlier than tuesday morning... (hint, hint @airoutlaw )

Hope you ole men know the "kitchen pass" is extended for us "ole ladies"... (and all the ladies said, "Amen." :saint: ) as we will be opening "Louise's Bar".

Hope I dont come home to find I need a second job to even out the money we spent.

Im so excited for this trip... this will be the only group event our schedule will allow time for... this trip will be hard to top...

posted on your page as well, we have an appointment with dealership this afternoon for possible tie rod replacement... would love to meet you and (if i have her name correct....) allison! If your sling is there, you could probably talk @airoutlaw into a turbocharged/rabtech lap around the block... :)

@Bill Martin well, pray tell what your first mod was.... :?:

Now see there @Tripod, I learned that Shawn from FF was previously employed by Unified Performance.... didnt know that. And I LOVE the rims you have... I hope to see a red sling with powder coated silver wheels so I can visualize how that color wheel looks with red. Looks awesome against the orange.

    STORY TIME....
So @airoutlaw had been drooling over this Slingshot for a year before we ever inquired about one, and didnt see one in person til the day we picked ours up... Steve and I wanted our first ride to be together and I since I had to drive back to Cullman seperately, we rode it around Athens for a few miles, before heading back home.. It was so thrilling, and everybody was staring, lol and then... after about 5 miles, that engine got warm... that can exhaust got HOT, and my feet were on fire... I didnt want to complain because, we had waited a year.. Steve was in love with this machine, so I kept quite and danced on burning red hot coals til time for me to get out. I didnt have to say anything... as our family and friends took rides over the next coupke weeks, they ALL said, "it gets warm on your feet!", and similar comments. Steve asked if my feet got hot... and I said extremely, to thw point where I have to pull my feet as far away from that firewall, floorboard as I can... "but I love it dear ;) , still not really wanting to rain on the parade... but the longer we were riding, the hotter it got, he began to feel the heat coming thru the holes under steering column and out from the underside of plastic overlay around shifter. Having just made a lump sum purchase.... we tried a few fixes for the passenger side heat problem following @Samowens44 videos of insulating the firewall better, introducing some air into the floorboards with the black sump pump hose ran from the wheel, thru the splash guard, and into the footwell, stuffing the holes with thick shipping egg crate foam... nothing was making the ride any more comfortable. Yet, I still refused to be completely truthful about the "fire down below", was pretty sure how a lit cigarette felt though... "how you doing over there?", "Great!, this is wonderful!:D "
And in my head, Id be thinking, "except for the red hot coals heaped on my feet!" At some point he put his hand on that side of the SS during a long ride and even though he felt hot heat coming through on his side, it was nothing compared to the hot lava I felt... he guesstimated the temp was around 130+ on my side.... thankfully he is a sweetheart, and ordered the 2nd gen Unified Performance exhaust and I got to kick that purple hued can to the curb. The difference was immediate... and I couldnt have been happier to be able to stretch my legs out and enjoy the ride... a story with a happy ending.:thumbup:

Posted in the Ladies Room, but open for any that want to brag about the time and effort put in to our "customized" SS. When family, or friends look at our slingshot, they dont remember the "virgin" sling... and we have to point out what we have done to improve our ride. Yet when we see one posted here, we automatically spot the work and effort put in. A lot of hours, frustration, blood and sweat, not to mention money has went into these Slingshots and I would like to give everyone the opportunity to brag...

SO.. tell me, how long you've had your sling, and it doesnt matter if theyre in chronological order but start your list with the very first mod you did, then the others... Im curious as to what your choice was for your first mod...

hey there @NotHisSling2015! Always nice to see the ladies come in..
Glad you could join us! And how bout "FUN4HER" or "HERFUN" "SLINGER" is a good one too, but you might get a few odd offers on that one..

    @funcycle ,
We kooked at sling mods rack and luggage, its a bit more than we want to give at thus time with the trip coming up, possible exhaust purchase, and seats we already purchased. We have to replenish the "honey pot"...lol after an outpouring.. will have my bag in the footwell most likely... I told husband, we'd see how this trip went with luggage and such, and then decide afterwards if we want to have a luggage system in place before next trip... as I said, we dont trailer, getting there is half the trip for us! Will check out gallery for any pics you might have posted of your luggage mod, otherwise an instructuonal how to might be useful to those of us in need.

@adventure4me, @devonpam, @NotHisSling2015, @NatomasSlingshot1 you ladies probably dont need makeup but with blonde hair, I have no eyebrows, or eyelashes unless i paint them.....lol and with pale skin, well........ without makeup i look like two eyeballs and two nostrils on a head.... lololol i look forward to the day I just dont bother with it.. but its not today..
