Cant wait because i hate exhaust fumes bad to. Plus Speedr117 if your going to get Super get the 2.5 inch. The 2.5 inch is not going to hurt anything, this what i am going to get first then Super later.

Oldfogey I cant wait to see how u fix this because I am ready to buy but, I don't want exhaust fumes I already have this problem and I hate it with my taller shield. let us know what happens

I want the welter 2.5 inch but I'm scared of heavy exhaust fumes. you smell the stock exhaust on mine now with tall madstad 13 inch shield that I look through only when you Floor it. if you just cruise around and don't floor it you don't smell any exhaust fumes but when you Floor it exhaust comes in till you let off the throttle that's when the exhaust finally leaves the cab. I thought it was coming from the back but it was not I made my own wind deflector out of cardboard and blue tape to block the air from the back it made the exhaust fumes even worse because there was no airflow to move it out of the cab once it was in there. I am so stumped on what to order it only got bad once I went to the Taller shield.

For you guys with these Welter exhaust what kind of windshields are you running with them I have a madstad 13 inch now with the stock exhaust and every time I floor It i get exhaust fumes in the cab bad from all the air rushing in so what kind of exhaust fumes are you guys dealing with. I'm trying to decide what exhaust to mount with my new supercharger I'm going to put in I don't want loud and I want less exhaust fumes than the stock exhaust with taller shield

I just read the link very useful but Dave never started a new thread to say what he thought of the difference between the two short shifter kits I think I'm going to just order the alpha direct from Alpha today for $149 with free shipping. I did check those alignment pins on mine to make sure it was installed right in mine. plus I used a red marine grease for my lubrication so it would not go anywhere And stay lubricated and it still looks good after 5000 miles.

I'm just wanting to know if switching to the new Alpha short throw shifter will make my transmission any less notchey from 1st to 2nd gear changes for me than my DDM works does now. I have now had the DDM works one for 5000 miles in 90% of the time 1st to 2nd gear change I had that big notche right in the middle of the gear change and it just does not feel right sometimes but then other times it feels completely smooth and normal. It's smooth on all other gear changes so I saw some people said they thought the Alpha was smoother so I thought about buying one or is it just a wasting time and money to try it and just to have it feel no different

I am trying to come up on how to do this with out drilling any holes in plastic. I think with all of us putting our heads together we will definitely probably be able to come up with the perfect solution

Just put a car chemistry baffle up in the tip. This is what I did with my alpha side pipe now no more drone at all. U can't even ear it at 75mph just cruising. With out it, it was way to loud. I was ready to sell till I tried this baffel. Super easy install drill one hole. I think they cost right around $50. Mine sits up in the tip maybe 3 or 4 inches can't even see, I slid it in as far ass it would go
