As many of you may know, my husband, @Slej, dropped off the Sling to @Painter. On Halloween, he was involved in a horrible motorcycle accident and ended up in the ICU with a serious concussion, 3 broken ribs, punctured lung, chunk of his head missing and various other contusions, cuts, scraps and pains.

The Sling was ready, but because of the accident, we were not going to be able to go and pick it up any time in the near future.

A couple of forum members came to check on him once he was back home. Some of you that were at Crystal's Welcome Home Party may recall we made an appearance but didn't stay long - his pain was not quite under control.

@KayTwo reached out to me via text and asked how I felt about he, @V-SHOT and @MACAWS driving up to Indiana and trailering the Sling back. I was shocked by the level of support they offered and compassion they exhibited.

They left yesterday, Saturday, Dec 4th, at 0345 and dropped off the Sling about 2½ hours ago (Sunday at 1315).

Thank-you cannot begin to express the gratitude I am feeling. Although I do not post often, I consider myself more of a luker. ;) This forum is AMAZING and those that make up our community are INCREDIBLE!

Lastly, the paint job is SICK :thumbup:<3:love: Pictures to follow!!

Thank you all for the kind words and prayers. We really appreciate them!!

We have so been looking forward to this get together. He is having headaches and his pain is not manageable yet. That's why the not sure.

The fella that was riding behind him said he would give him a 10 for his dismount but had to take points off for the landing. He was airborn about 15 feet and did a full somersault in the air then landed right on his head.

Who knows, he may feel wonderful Saturday AM and we'll see you all. I promise to keep you all posted. I do need a text where to drop off our donation!!!

@Slej was in an accident and has been in the ICU. He is now home.

He has: Broken ribs, Puntured Lung, Concussion, Hole in his Head, various other contussions, road rash, etc. etc. etc.

He is so lucky to be alive. He is struggling with short-term memory loss and I'm struggling to keep him from - driving, going to work, and doing too much. He keeps saying gotta go get the sling. >.<

Trama doc said no drive or work for 4-6 weeks BUT I am taking him to primary doc today at 10:30 - I have a list of questions that I plan to ask and write down the answers so that Mr. Hardhead can read when he forgets.

I do not know if we can make it to the party. But if I can make a donation, I will gladly meet someone to hand a check to! My cell is: 757-913-1969.

@Slej cell phone is dead and we are trying to get a replacement phone after the doc appointment.
