Maybe to be on the safe side I may add some yellow underneath hoping to diffuse the red to orange rather than change everything out.

I have red under glow that don't flash as well as red foot well LEDs. Seen by numerous state boys in NC (including passing through a traffic check) with no issues. The trooper at the traffic check asked questions about the Sling but never mentioned the lights.

My 2016 is bumping up on the end of the Warranty period. What are thoughts on an extended warranty? Has anyone actually had a covered repair that was more than it would have cost out of pocket?

The $1, $2, $50, and $100 bills have pictures of slave owners on them. If you feel the need to dispose of them due to you not wishing to use a currency with such offensive pictures, I'll be taking them off everyone's hands and disposing of them properly.
I do what I can.
I'll be happy to help. I feel it to be my civic duty.

This should have been Trump's campaign ad with a fade out to the theme..."Make America Great Again!

You know, if you think about it, the nation needs marital counseling. The general "talk to each other with respect", "thank each other when they do something nice", "point out the good things they do", "forgive past transgressions, but try not to let them happen again", "don't argue in front of the kids", etc. etc. etc. ... Of course you'd have to add in there "don't shoot anyone that's not threatening your life or the lives of others", but still.
Jokes aside, we need to stop pointing fingers, and act with respect. I respect you, you respect me (or pretend you do), we agree to disagree, we go on with our lives. Even better would be: I talk to you while you listen, you talk to me while I listen, we both learn to see each other's point of view and agree or agree to disagree but are better informed. Etc.
And, lastly, if you don't like something, DO SOMETHING ABOUT IT. Don't just sit behind your keyboard and spout off at the mouth. Don't like something? Petition for change. Don't want to do that? Run for local office. Don't want to do that? Donate to a charity. Don't want to do that? Volunteer to help. Don't want to do that? Then you're lazy and just want the social media attention. Seriously people. And no, walking around with vaginas on your head, or tiki torches in your hand does not qualify as "doing something" in this day in age. Sorry.
Amen! Speak the truth!!

Display MoreBoomer where you at?
Arkansas classifies it as a motorcycle and requires a motyircycle license but does not require a helmet
However, the license from your home state required to operate a Slingshot is honored in all other 49 states. For example if your home state is Illinois where an autocycle license is required for a Slingshot but travel to Wisconsin where it is considered a motorcycle you can visit without having to get an motorcycle license.
You're probably more interested in whether a helmet is required in Arkansas or in any of the states you have to pass through to get there. You can find information about whether a helmet is required here: Map of motorcyle helmet laws
Polaris has the information on their website here regarding classification by state: License Requirements by State | Polaris Slingshot
Don't rely on the Polaris site as being accurate. A helmet is required in NC. The Sling is not an autocycle...yet.

Aww... Now the thread takes a serious turn...
Advil, Tylenol, your numb-er of choice, but yes, take it easy and heal up...
On the bright side you couldn't have been much closer to the ground when getting out of a sling. Glad you're OK.

Thanks again Tom! Got home with no problems except had to dial down the sync to 7.0! Wheels were locking up on "10"
You should have walked over and said "I couldn't help but overhear. She is welcome to borrow my helmet."

I just happened upon this thread and couldn't help but feel sad for our country. Where on earth did these people come from? I find some solace in voting for the lesser of two evils but It would have been a lot easier if one other person was running...imagine if this happened.

Nope...not at all. Sounds troubling though. You should check it out. The last thing you want is a lack of confidence between you and your machine's handling.

Funny thing...I rode a Yamaha 1300 V-Star. Absolutely beautiful bike and it was not easy to let it go. Never cared much about what other folks rode...bikes were bikes. And then I saw her...sitting at the dealership shining, with 2 miles on her just begging for me to take her home...and I did. Love at first sight! No regrets and many mods later I'm having a ball. Sling on my friends!!

I'm all in as well. Working on Mrs Candyman to attend and passing the word to Slingers in the Greensboro ares!

Absolutely the coolest machine on three wheels! I overstayed my visit to Lowes yesterday (if there is such a thing) after several families had gathered around the Sling. Of course they wanted pictures of the Sling with their kids. That quickly morphed into adults wanting to sit in it as well. Hopefully more Slings will come on the scene this summer in my area.
