I just can't believe this. Checked with the website and the House has tabled the bill for autocycle classification for the slingshot to be legal here in RI. Stated need to do more research/study about the issue. The Senate is meeting today to discuss and praying they will be passing it, so this can finally be resolved. This is so frustrating, since 26 have all ready been registered and re-registered, before they put a stop on them for not falling under the RI law of a motorcycle. DMV is backing 100% based on our conversations with their legal dept., but can't register until resolved legally. Only in RI! So bummed out and aggravated with this. Losing what little summer we have to enjoy slinging. Had hopes of it being resolved by the 10th based on last communications. I know of three of us that are sitting on pins and needles for the approval. Sorry, just needed to vent!

Prayers and Blessings for tomorrow's Senate vote. Dying with anticipation for a go ahead. Hoping it is immediate and don't have to wait much longer. Spending hours drooling over videos and ideas. All ready have a list of mods wanted once have. Maybe not for the first year, but who knows. This is becoming addicted! Thanks for the support of this forum...

Great! As I cried reading your post, I was so happy to hear the out come. That was so heartwarming to see a Vet finally get a way to move around. You and your wife must feel so blessed to be able to give him something of value to ease his pain. As lrobbi stated, God Bless you all! It was wonderful to read something non-depressing for a change.

Check Amazon! Amazon.com: Polaris slingshot gas cap

Also, while watching various you tube videos, saw one on up and the person had a great idea to put a piece of Velcro teeth, about 2 inches +/- on the gas cap part that screws locked and the the other soft side under the back seat (need to see video for right locations). All with in hand reach. Won't fall!

Thanks, I did a search and found info about Digital Guard Dawg Kill Switch. John had mentioned something about this, but did not see cost. Any ideas? Need to check their site more.

RI Guy, happy to hear you were able to renew. The two bills are H8276 and S3051 which are supposed to pass by 6/10. Still being registered/classed as motorcycle with exception to be referred to as an autocycle with exemption for license status. I will be able to drive as well. John has been checking the website frequently for updates. We are counting the days. Glad they decided to let the 26 alone. I know they weren't sure how to address. Looking forward to meeting some day soon.

First sorry if this a start of an old issue, but what are options to avoid having your slingshot stolen while parked either in your driveway or at any location where you have to leave it parked? I saw on another forum what looked like a bolt you attach to the rear tire and then a cheaper option of using a tire booth. Thanks from Donna.

Wow again, just watched the video, only saw the stills earlier and thought it was cool/awesome. Seeing the video relates to John (my husband's) conversation last night about lights. By the way, my husband wants to get that same rear view mirror. May I ask where you purchased yours? I think Slingking did a video or someone else did about it. I know our dealer didn't have it the last time and we will probably have to order on line. Funny I didn't think we would be doing too much mods, but watching others gives you ideas. I can see this becoming a bad habit, but fun as well. Nothing major, but some accessories will make it more fun, especially the lights. Thanks again for sharing. Can't wait to get the OK for ours! Jealous! ^^

Oh, my husband would love to do that! He likes the dark ales. Good hobby Kenny J.! By the way a huge THANK YOU for your volunteer work. Our town has volunteers and they are great when an emergency happens in town. I grew up in a City with paid services and moving to a town with volunteers was a big eye opener. Your community is sure lucky to have someone like you protecting them.

Interesting topic. I work too much so don't get to enjoy my hobbies anymore, but hubby does I racing on line and has a major set up in his man cave. A group race on Friday nights and then on weekends. But when we get the slingshot, that may be changing, but I doubt it. My hobbies are old ladies, I dabble in crafts, etc. Recently took up painting, but not even having time for that any more. If I don't have to work and can just sit and chill with my chickens, I am in heaven. Very dull life which I am hoping will change when we get the slingshot.
