First, my deepest condolences to you and your family. A huge Thank You to your brother who made the sacrifice to protect us unconditionally. I know there are no words that can be stated or spoken to take away your pain, but may you find comfort that he is in paradise and not suffering anymore. I lost a brother back in 1968 and know the pain of losing a sibling. Cherish the memories, since no one can take those away and although you hear it often, time does heal the pain somewhat, not completely, but it will get easier in time. Hang in their for his children, we are here for you vent when needed. Always, John and Donna from Bristol, RI

We installed and had the same issue. The problem was (if we had read the instructions properly) was that we smoothed out instead of just placing. When you smooth it out via the length, it stretched a little. One side is like an 1/8 or so off, but once placed it stayed. I am anal and don't like, but we have to live with it. I think another person had the same issue. Love them on the slingshot for safety reasons. Yours looks like ours. Will see if I can get a picture on the site, but I think John saw another post about this problem as well. Good thing is the LED lights are were they are suppose to be. In fact, I think one strip was slightly longer to begin with anyways. The part that curved was blank without the LED bulbs.

Second thought- Any vendors on this forum that might want to look into supplying this need. I am sure I am not the only short person driving one of these. Hint!! :) Help the short ladies out guys, you are all so talented! Especially for us seniors!
You guys can't have all the fun, us ladies also want to drive as well! ;):saint:

Thanks, will have to check Pedlemates. Saw something on PepBoys website which I just emailed to John to see if this will work on the slingshot. Pilot Automotive Voltage Pedal Kit, Blue 3 Piece, Manual | Product Details | Pep Boys
It was blue which would match our slingshot too. Price was even the best. Since I am not the primary driver I don't want to inconvenience him when he does the most driving. Wish I could get my own and it would be PURPLE!

BUMMER! Just received a reply from Bondra that unless Polaris uses one of the vehicle pedals, mustang, corvette, etc. it would probably not work. Oh well worth a try. Guess a pillow will be the resolution! Thanks everyone-have a great day! Donna

While searching for a more permanent solution- you might try to take a pillow- about 16" square, well-filled,couch type - and place it behind your lower back. I use one all the time I drive. My problem is being thin, I sink WAY back into the seat. I am tall enough, but by the time I moved the seat to where I could safely and comfortably clutch, I was banging my elbow, everytime I shifted. I have months of driving this way, and found it perfect for me.

Thanks for the feedback including Jonathan's. No offense was taken. Thought it was cute! Only problem with heels is I would probably fall on my Ass with heels. Normally, wear flats. I checked the Bondra link and sent them a request for compatibility with a Slingshot. The pillow might work, so will try that as well. John is 5'10" so he puts the seat back and has no issues. By the way, someone mentioned the brackets, which we have on order for the passenger seat. Was advised the Drivers seat brackets are not set up the same, so not sure that would work. Good thought though. Ross, that was funny. I remember when I was a child many moons ago, that a women was short and had to have blocks put on her vehicle to reach the pedals. Saw something on the web, but not sure they would be safe, basically looks like what you posted. Had threads on it. Thanks again, hoping maybe Bondra will have something compatible. Wish me luck!

Checked the search engine for this and couldn't find anything, so apologize if this was brought up and I missed the postings.
Hubby, let me drive the slingshot last night and even with the seat pulled all the way up, I had to stretch my legs to engage the clutch. Not bad while driving, but when stopped, I couldn't hold the clutch down for the duration of the light. Had to put in neutral to rest and then engage when taking off.
Has anyone who is short run into this issue and if so, what was your solution. I am short just about an inch or so - I am 5' tall. John is concerned about me driving that way, which would mainly be local, since he does most of the driving. Thanks! Donna

Like this suggestion too! My first choice would be the Blue with White ink to match our Slingshot though.
Thanks for offering additional colors and putting the Orange in the Store. Just ordered two my self.

Names Tom aka gooseman, live in South Western Ontario on the US border between Detroit and Port Huron Michigan. I have the only SS in the area that I am aware of. Been drooling for one for awhile waiting for our Ontario government to allow them here. May 1st this yr and I could hardly wait. Having a blast in my base black waiting to get some mods done. Wife loves going for rides along the river front and just touring around. The looks and smiles we get are non stop. Looking forward to actually meeting other owners and talk shop. I am a industrial millwright and machinist by trade and love working on mechanical stuff and tinkering with things trying to improve upon.

Welcome to a very friendly family. The advice and support is the best for any slingshot owner. Can't say enough about the knowledge obtain and given freely by so many wonderful people. Enjoy and be safe!

Welcome to the family. Thanks for replying and hopefully, we can get a group of RI slingshot owners to meet up and ride. We purchased ours from MOM's also. In fact, we are dropping off today for the first 500 +/- check up. Should have back by Saturday - 8/6. I know a few others are in RI, just the other day the UPS driver advised that another Bristol resident has a white one. We haven't seen him yet, but will be on the look out. I know BlackDeath is from MA just over the boarder and he is interested as well. There are a few in the Newport area, but haven't seen them on the site lately to discuss, also Slingingit who had issues the same as us. Since this is the only format to meet, I haven't seen much activity on this forum from either of them to be able to meet up. If anyone has any suggestions on how to do this, please advise. I met some wonderful people from CT, MA and NH who I am hoping we will be able to meet up and finally meet face to face. Are you the one from Central Falls area that posted earlier?
