Hi All,
Interested in @Jimmy540i HID kit for the Slingshot. It doesn’t appear that any additional wiring or harnesses are needed? It says it’s a simple plug and play for the bulbs. Does anyone have any experience with these? I read up above that the stock harness/ wiring will not support the HID bulbs. Will I have an issue with these bulbs affecting the Slingshot? Seems like a good deal and they look good. They say they are xenon but produce an HID glare. Looks like they throw more light on a stock setup. Just looking for some feedback. Thanks in advance.

The wife is ragging on me too. She keeps saying she heard the grind from inside the house. She’s a shit stirrer. Hahaha.

Lol. Kind of funny you asked that. I may or may not... work for the candy company that slingmods used in their install video. Lol.
So the first thing I did was to see how many m&m’s would fit into the compartment. Milk M&Ms were somewhere around 22. Peanut was 5. Hahahahaha.
As of right now, there’s $20 in cash - gas money if I ever forget my wallet or just need a cold coke.

Thanks all. Greatly appreciated!
I’ll sleep a bit better tonight knowing that I didn’t do any harm.
I think the worst part was my 4 year old son in the front seat that said “oh daddy, that didn’t sound good.” LOL. It hurt the ego some too.

Hi All,
At the risk of sounding stupid, paranoid, ocd, idiotic, etc..... here goes.
I installed my alpha shift knob a few months back (the one with the top that unscrews for storage), and ever since, i find it very hard to shift the sling into reverse. Took it out today and when backing into the driveway, I struggled getting it into gear. Thought it was in, let off the clutch and gave it some gas and $&@));/&;@;&48.!:@/....... it started to grind. Threw it in nuetral.... put it in first..... went back to reverse and it went into gear. Now, for the questions....
Did I do any damage??? Which is my biggest fear. This is the second time it has happened.
Also, could it be giving me problems going into gear because of the new shifter??? I don’t mind going back to the original shifter if it will make it go into gear easier.
Thanks for everyone’s help in advance, and if this is a stupid question my apologies. This is my second manual shift vehicle in my 30 years and I never grinded gears in reverse or in forward motion before. Thanks!!!!

Yes, please. That would be very helpful!

@Red was awesome in helping with the install! I just don’t know if I did something wrong or if others rub?

Hi All,
Looking for some help. I purchased the aftermarket brackets to move the passenger side seat forward, which in turn allows the passenger side seat to recline more. My wife loves it, but I’ve got one problem.
The upper part of the seat bolster now rubs on the center console when moving the seat forward to gain access to the storage compartment. Does anyone else have this issue? I can’t imagine I installed incorrectly, because everything else lines up. I guess we both have OCD. LOL.
But it is bothering us so much that we are considering going back to the stock location to eliminate this issue, unless others are seeing the same. Do any aftermarket seats rub in this location with the brackets? The brackets are an ingenious idea and we do love the ability to recline a bit more. I have a 2016 SL LE with the factory seats. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance!

Thanks @Stairgod! I bought a 40 foot cargo container, which will do the trick.

One trip would be great! And for 2k even better! It must be my location, as to why the price difference. Although, I’m only about an hour and a half away from port Newark and 2 hours away from Philly.

Lol - Stairgod.
I’ve looked into the sea cans, however they are between $2700 and $3k in my area. They say that they are water and air tight, but they physically don’t look in the best condition. When I spoke to a supplier of used sea cans, I was told that they need to be sealed or coated (especially) the roof, once received and then yearly after that.
Something to think about again though, thanks.
The toughest part may be the wife saying how ugly it is. Lol.

Will do, thank you. I’ve got the man cave in the basement, and I’m pretty sure that’s going to become wife and kids space when the garage is built. They are already trying to take over.
I’m going to keep looking at the buildings. Are the steel buildings different from pole barns?
-
Thanks for the idea. I did look into a carport that you could then enclose, however by the time it was installed and then sides, a rear, roll up door, etc; it came to more than a pole building. Looking at a pole building right now (standard 24x24 two car garage) for 7k. No windows, 1 man door, and 1 9x7 standard garage door included in that price. No overhang on eaves or gutters. They nickel and dime for the basics. However, that’s life.

Ha. Thanks for the offer. My in laws live in Orlando, but work and family are in PA. Plus, I just can’t bring myself to be near them. Lol.

Hi All,
Can anyone recommend a reputable pole barn contractor in the north east? I love my sling, but am getting tired of storing it in a storage unit with no electric for the tender or lighting to do any mods.
Living in the Pocono Mountains, it is pretty much stored from Nov to April. There’s currently about 8 inches of snow outside.
I am not handy by any means, otherwise I’d try buying one of those pole building kits, therefore, I’ll just stick to some light modding and keep wishing for spring.
Thanks in advance!
