Does anyone know about the longevity and reliability of the Polaris engine and how it compares?

    Welcome BRIAN H 73 to the forum and yes you can get great responses for almost any questions or concerns!

    I have owned a 2016.5 and 2018 Slingshots, and a 2020R , but now own the 2022 R Slingshot since mid-April with almost 5k miles. Personally I prefer the New Polaris engines for the Pure Performance it has over the stock ecotec engines and all my Slingshots have been the 5 speed manual transmissions !! But, I also enjoy the better ride and handling of the newer Slingshots!

    Well, for me it's the Polaris Slingshade. I have owned 4 Slingshots as of this time, and no top on the First, but have installed the Slingshade on the last Three and very Happy with them!

    Slingshade top not only gives you the shade, but actually helps reduce the cabin wind turbulence and Best accents the design of the Slingshot!!

    BKL is correct in that this top will not help you with a rollover crash, But he failed to mention that the Original Roll hoops are Still in Place and will do the Job they are Designed to do with a rollover crash??

    But, to make the Best Choice for yourself is to Ride test the ones you are most interested in??

    i got the screen off of amazon, its the M-D building products it matches the same screen from DDM Works Hood vents. I installed the mesh with 3M double side tape, as long as you clean the area very well and use the 3m primer bonder it will do perfect. I cut out the holes using a flush cut saw, a ryobi rotary tool and box knife. Sand the area down so there is no gaps or areas that could bubble and you will do great.

    NNEVES57 fenders look great and I wondering which mesh screen did you use and what did you use to install the mesh and what you used to cut the holes??

    I'm in total agreement and like many others I've talked with here at the rally and even one new vendor, that for us Sling owners and Riders to pay a fee to get into an event with vendors who have to pay their fees and then pay them for their merchandise or services, Is Not Right or Fare ????

    Please fix this if you possibly can and you have mine and many other Slingshot Riders in my area total Support!!!

  • 2022 toggle switches

    Not too bad, just few extra pieces to remove and the infotainment system is actually bolted at top with 2 bolts which you can't see until you remove the plastic covers?

    lazarus , I have really been looking at those for my new Slingshot and called slingmods about the installation but sounded a little confusing? I was also curious if they would work with the pedal covers and I see yours looks great??
