    - - its one of the reasons why I wish there were wheel sets sold that were the stock size

I so agree with you, in my current research trying to find a complete matching set of aftermarket wheels, in original stock sizes, has turned to be spending hours on the computer without finding a set without compromising width or offset on one, or both, of the sizes.

After we get this wheel issue resolved I am just really hoping that we do not find that we have knocked the suspension out of alignment, for the closest choice that can do a three-wheeler is a place that does laser-alignments 150 miles away. At least a visual inspection has not shown any obviously bent parts.

......................... I personally think it would be perfectly okay to have one style wheel on the back and a different style on the front - - frankly if I were ever to go to a wider rear wheel that is probably how I would go.

Yep, I am inclined to agree, so my first priority for now is still to find a single 2015 stock SL wheel replacement, or even a pair, if it/they are appropriately priced. I'll give this a couple of weeks and if this proves futile, I'll simply purchase a pair of aftermarket wheels for the front. It appears that this can be done for $350-$500 dollars for the pair. This will also simplify the search by not having to find a matching rear wheel with the proper off set.

Checking out aftermarket wheels, we have a first generation Paramount Plastics Stealth fender installed. Keeping with the same 20X9 wheel, how much leeway would I have with the offset so to keep that tire looking centered?

Being the cheapskate that I am, with the SlingShot being such a rare critter in this neck of the woods, I have been mulling over how many folks would actually recognize "it is not supposed to be that way" if we replaced only the front wheels, even if they were fairly different in style?

I have a full set of 2915 so rims with tires. Unfortunately the rear rim has a cracked spoke but the tire is new. Too expensive to ship to opposite coast.

We would be content just with a single front wheel at this time......................

Kind of unfortunate, but I have been checking out aftermarket wheels and I am finding that complete sets can be had for less than the current asking prices for 2015 wheels singly. :(

HELP, we were out doing a little sunset cruise when we come around a corner and clobbered a pot hole, busting a front wheel. Does anybody have one stashed collecting dust in which you might like to get out of the garage?

    Thanks,

Just an observation, there is usually lots of eager chatter when it comes to discussing making the SlingShot louder, but there is a most definite resistance to when folks attempt to discuss making the SlingShot quieter? I do not understand for I see this as akin to where some folks prefer their Harley sound as compared to others who prefer their Gold Wings?

I do not believe that we are currently experiencing any of these behaviors that you have described? However, for us to help you it would be helpful if you would advise the year and model of your machine as well as elaborating on the specific noises in which you are referring to? Are you saying that these are all new noises that have developed since you did your test ride before purchasing your SlingShot? As a starting point to finding solutions, if you utilize the search function of this forum you may find where others have experienced specific situations over time and have already shared their solutions for each.

I hope that this has been helpful?

The best part of this provision:

The act also provides that qualified operators who are 26 or older may operate a motorcycle or motortricycle without a helmet if he or she is covered by a health insurance policy or other form of insurance which will provide the person with medical benefits for injuries incurred as a result of a motorcycle or motortricycle accident. Proof of such coverage shall be provided on request of law enforcement by showing a copy of the qualified operator’s insurance card. No person shall be stopped, inspected, or detained solely to determine compliance with these provisions. (Section 302.026)

Hip Hip Horray! Now the rest of us who have the brains to wear a helmet, nor innocently hapless family members, shouldn't be stuck paying for the bills of the brain dead after they prove how much of a man they are by not wearing their helmet! This may be better than the solution I have endorsed that an insurance company should not be responsible to pay for head related injuries of a rider if they get into an accident while not wearing a helmet, but this could put the rest of their innocent family in even more dire circumstances having to pick up the bills. This may also provide for riders to be more contentious with their riding so to avoid getting pulled over, thus promoting better safety?

Just to confirm what we discovered yesterday I did a lil round robin this morning over some of the rougher local roads and these Yokohama-YK740-GTX tires

most definitely have improved our riding comfort. Now I can hardly wait for the rains to start to check them out on wet roads! There is an issue, however, of now choosing a rear tire when the time comes because, unfortunately, Yokohama does not manufacture this tire in 255/35-R20.
