AWESOME!

Hadn't seen the FLIR attachment before. Might be a great solution for a small VFD that can't afford a handheld. Great for looking for hotspots during overhaul!

This one and 4 of his herd buddies. Love them though.....

We are suffering from much the same, but at least we're no longer in monsoon season!

Agreed, a simple band will work. Dollar Tree stocks them in various colors if you have that chain locally.

Welcome! If you have any questions about your Slingshot or are looking for riding buddies, this is the place to be!

My wife and I in the Smokies during SSITS 2016

Had to add mine, I have since added a "brand decal" saying Redneck Intake but it's not on for the photo.

I actually took it out tonight to check it after putting 350 miles on it this weekend and there was no difference. It's ambient heat, not direct, and not as high temp as it would be on the passenger side. I see no reason why it should not work at least as well as the upholstery foam etc that most are cramming into the space. If I find out differently, I will make sure and share it with the forum.

The passenger seat relo brackets are made by Red and are highly recommended by my wife. I don't know how many women sat in our Slingshot at SSITS but Red should put her on commission because I believe she sold a ton of the kits for him!
As to the PRP seats, ours are definitely waterproof as we drove in rain for 3.5hrs of our 7.5 hour trip home from Maggie Valley. It must matter what material you select as @Guardian_Angel said.

I will put my .02 in on hotels. If you are looking for a clean, comfortable, no frills hotel try Hearth and Home Inn. It only cost us $225 for SIX NIGHTS and is only 6 miles from the Comfort Inn. We had a lot more $$$ to do fun stuff!

If you're looking for something to cover the stock manifold, the GM made cover works well. I believe that is the one 1320 sells. You can usually find them for around $25. I bought one and a can of red ceramic exhaust paint from Autozone and have actually gotten a few complements. It's not fancy but light years better than the rusty manifold. Eastwood also sells a "Cast Iron" brush on paint that makes it look like newly cast iron.
Hope this helps. Photo was all I had but you can see the edge of the cover.

Sorry about the delay, my battery died and I had to come up to the house to load photos.

All credit goes to my wife for this one. After throwing a LOT of money towards the passenger side heat issues, she noticed that the drIver's side also needed help. I showed her the holes around the pedals and steering shaft and explained that most seem to use tape and foam to plug the holes but there didn't seem to be a neat and easy fix around the steering shaft.
After poking around the shop for a few minutes this is what she came up with: Take a standard size foam paint roller cover and cut approximately 3 7/8" off the end. Then cut it once lengthways so that it can be slipped over the shaft just below the joint, pushing the other end through the firewall. Using 2 1.5-2.5" hose clamps moderately tighten down to hold the cover together. Don't tighten too much or you can deform the plastic liner. All you are trying to do is get it tight enough to be a solid tube again. The bonus is the worm gear mechanism will keep the tube from slipping too far forward.
Works great and has no binding against the steering!
