I had the larger battery installed while it was at Cycle Springs being prepped for delivery to me. The kit made it a very simple installation and came with the hole saw. With the larger battery installed the terminal's are reversed and not as shown on the U-Tube video.

I bought the kit, but I also had the optima 180 battery, so with that the terminals are facing forward instead of to the back. the wires going from the battery to the jumper terminals are 16" long and u have to bend them to fit within the space. if you watch the video from Slingking the negative post is shown opposite of what I have. Also u did not mention but you need a hole saw to cut through the plastic. The kit include that hole saw with a pilot drill bit attached. I have attached a phot of mine.

On the Dark Side someone had said that they replaced the existing rubber sealer with a thicker one, and that seem to have worked. I have the Corbin Bags also but had not been caught in the rain. Mine do not always lock as they come open going down the road when hitting a hard bump. I talked with Corbin in Florida and they are helpful. I have tried what they sent me to do and it works for sometime then comes open again. Will taking the SS to them in Jan. when I return home from Mi. as they are under warranty till April 17.

Oh, I am thinking of buying the Roll-A-Home Trailer. Will get the trailer sometime in March, April. I am planning a Bucket List Trip next summer that I have been planning for 2 years now. I am retiring in Dec and heading home. I will add the Trailer Hitch from SlingMods. I might just have Cycle Springs do the job since that is where I bought the SS at. That way they can check everything else out.

    to KayTwo,
I installed the Heat Shield kit by DEI in late June on my 2016.5. I have the Alpha 1320 header and Alpha Electronic Muffler. We were out riding in early June and my wife had to keep her feet up on the side frame bar as the floor was just to hot. so I ordered the Kit along with the muffler kit and installed them. Prefect ride now, very little heat at all. Yes we are in SW Michigan right now and we do live in SE Florida. But the thing I did was to 1st block up the drain holes in the passenger floor board, (if water gets in on the passenger side I can always punch a hole in the floor covered holes. 2nd I had a lot of material left over from the muffler kit, so I pulled the Gen 2 floor mat up some, made a pattern and cut the muffler material to size, used double sided tape and placed a couple of bricks on it overnight. this works great and very little heat build up. she can actually leave her purse on the floor without it getting hot. See pictures attached.

I have the Bullet Speed V Back roof and the post on the passengers side was blocking some of the mirror. Never could get it into the right position. Did not notice if it was convex or not, but with the new mirror on there I now have no trouble in seeing behind me and on the side on the passengers side. For me they are a big help, we went out for dinner and a ride and they worked better than stock mirrors. I also have the 380 deg. mirror and I lowered it down more and now also see more of what is to the sides and rear. I have had the SS now for 3 months and we have over 4300 miles on it.

We are in Stevensville, mi aka St. Joseph area on the west side of the state. My son in law lives in Warren. Was thinking of driving over for Woodward Cruise, but we are going kayaking in Gaylord, mi. brunitoons2@yahoo.com

mine was built in late March and early April, received at dealers on April 8th. I noticed that the ones I took the photos of the belts seem to be somewhat loose.
