This really sucks but it is what it is. Going to keep riding unless I hear something different. Hate I might be without it for a while as I love my new toy. Anybody have an idea on what to look for on the fuel rail ( a pic maybe )? Is the stat o seal something on the brakes? That's my biggest gripe is the soft ass brakes on these things.

About caused a convenience store worker to be ran over. Some dude was eye-phucking the SS hard while backing from a parking space and a worker was pushing a cart of trash behind him. Knocked the trash over but luckily did not the the worker. Lots of WHOA WHOA WHOA going on.

Anyone having a problem with their white halos turning yellow in isolated spots in the rings? I am about to return my second pair due to this and I've only had them since the end of May. I've read where it could be a heat issue but TricLED was not sure. I do have LED headlights installed on my Sling so I would hope that would not be the cause and it was hotter that 3 hells here in SC this summer. Hoping it is just bad luck but will give a shout out to SlingMods and TricLED for being so responsive and replacing the rings right away. If these replacements go bad I just might switch to the all red rings instead of the white.

Who wrote this article .... Can-Am ????
So we have a Slingshot on the side of the road burning with no history, no idea of what may have been the cause, an owner who will not comment, and no details ... coupled with a vague mention and no details offered of the other one that burned after rolling, its driver apparently having had a serious medical event, lost control, and drifting off the road at high speed eventually hitting a berm. Sensationalist "journalism" at its finest......
This guy has a bright future writing for one of the political parties .....

LOL. For real. It may have been one of those yahoos that did that YouTube comparison with the Miata. That was about as one sided as this article.

One of my favorite photo spots about 10 minutes south of me in Pawleys Island, SC.

Got out and ran around a little bit with Funcycle today. Ended up at Warbird Park in Myrtle Beach.

Just installed the LED rings this past weekend. Have the LED bulbs on the way from CycleSprings. The rings really look good around dusk. Eventually going to get the red outer 70mm rings and a red underglow kit. Splitter LEDs are another lighting upgrade I want then I will address the seats then the engine. This thing is truly an addiction. LOL.

Had a great time meeting Funcycle, Bubblehead and Terry (sorry I could not remember your screen name on here). Took the Slings up to Barefoot Landing to check out the vendors and grab some lunch then rode back down south to enjoy the traffic.

Yeah lets try and meet in the Belin United Methodist Church parking lot closest to the Inlet and boat ramp between 1230 and 1245 on Saturday the 21st. I'll do a drive by on some of the popular eateries beforehand and see where we can get the Slings and we can decide where we want to eat. Hopefully the weather will cooperate. 50% chance right now but that could change many times before Saturday.

Jason is easy to deal with on what you need. I listened today as he offered to pull the front splitter off of a new SS to satisify a customer.
Yep they are good peeps. Kevin has taken care of what I needed so far. Bike is running way better than it did before. Much smoother.

I've read about the rev hang issue but never experienced it with my SS yet. What I have going on is that sometimes when I come to a stop and push the clutch in, the motor drops below 500 rpms and it feels like the engine is going to stall. Does not happen everytime but I just wonder once it starts to get some age on it if it is going to stall out on me? Is this something that can be corrected with a reflash?
just an update on my issue. Dealer originally thought my check engine light was a bad speed sensor but come to find out it was a bad clutch switch. They replaced that and the problem I had with the near stall when I pushed the clutch in went completely away. RPMs fall smoothly to 750 every time now. Bike runs great now.

I just did the one in the Raleigh/Durham, NC area. Even though Mother Nature did not cooperate I still had a very fun and rewarding experience. Charlotte was my star that I had the pleasure of riding with. She is such a tough little girl. We helped raise over $81,000 dollars. I had the only Sling in the ride.

Sounds good to me, but it is going to be crowded.
EVERYWHERE will be crowded on the peak weekend of the rally. First weekend won't be bad but the second weekend is a zoo. We can scope out the crowd and just meet in the Belin church lot at 12:30 and decide where to eat if y'all want to try that.

Well what does everyone that is going to be there think about Saturday May 21st at Dead Dog Saloon in Murrells Inlet? Can meet there around starting around 12:30 and eat at 1:00. If you can't park directly in front of the Dead Dog there are plenty of spots across the street and along side Dead Dog. After lunch if you want to take the Slings next door to the church lot overlooking the Inlet we should be able to get a pic of all the Slings together. The Inlet makes a great back drop pic for our rides.

I think in the Marshwalk area on Saturday the 21st between noon and 1pm would be good. There is lots of parking there although getting all the Slings side by side might be tricky. There are about 10 restaurants within walking distance there and most of them have a view over the Inlet. Would be cool after lunch to take the Slings to Belin Church next door and get a pic of the Slings side by side there with the Inlet in the background. There are other smaller clusters of restaurants about 1/2 mile and 1 mile south of the Marshwalk that are usually not as crowded. King Street Grill is a good one on the South end of Murrells Inlet.

Yep Coastal has had about 5 to 6 new Slings sitting out front all week.
