There are two in Murrel's Inlet/Garden City just out side of Myrtle Beach. The one is Coastal Victory/Indian in Murrel's Inlet. I forget the rates but I thought they were pretty good for the 3 or 4 day rate which is a good weekend ride to get to the Smokies from this area. Maggie Valley for me in Georgetown is a 6 hour ride.

That one in Surfside Beach (Hotshots Slingshots) went out of business or sold out but it is definitely not there anymore. Coastal Indian/Slingshot is the only one that does it now. I know it's $250 for 24 hours but I don't know if they discount for 3 or 4 days.

Not the knock at the door you want to get but at least my neighbor had the integrity to inform me he had backed into my Sling this evening. It was under the black Polaris cover in my condo parking lot so he said he did not see it. Got all his insurance info and he will get with USAA to come out and look at it. The damage seems to be isolated to just the drivers side fender area. Is that a separate part or is the entire hood one piece? These things are tougher than they look. That was a hit from a full size truck.

Thanks everyone. It was a great day. Sun finally came out so I put the Sling into the 45 degree wind and it felt good.

Here are pics of my F4+3 installed. I'm 5'11" with stock seats so getting used to looking thru the windshield instead of over the stock took some getting used to but now it is great. I wear polarized sunglasses and they do make some funky colors on the shield that normal glasses don't. Also around the curve in the shield there is a little optical distortion but it's not too bad and you get used to it as well. Wind turbulence is cut down quite a bit. Really like mine a lot.

I was going to do the painting then I thought about the time and effort involved and just went with the quick fix caliper covers. Yes, more expensive but it took about 30 minutes and I was rolling and it looks great.

People who delay taking off from a busy red light to the point that the sensors detect the gap in traffic and prematurely change back to red. They usually are the last car to make it though and everyone behind them gets to pay for their inattentiveness/stupidity and wait another cycle. Another that I see a lot more lately is cars riding around at night with no head lights on. Most newer cars illuminate the dash no matter if your lights are on or not. Not like the old days when you had to turn your lights on to light up dash. I see so many cars like this now and wonder how in the world they can see anything.

The battery on my 16.5 is in it's death spiral. If I don't drive her everyday it will sound a little labored when I first hit the button. I hate the thought of sinking $350 plus into a battery and tray for this thing. I got a good 5 years plus on my tiny motorcycle battery when I had my bike. SMH at the Polaris cost cutters. Should have put a decent battery in these things.

What do you all use to clean and shine all the black plastic trim and panels on your Sling? I was using Duragloss Ultimate Detail Spray and it did a pretty good job but it is almost impossible to find it in stores now and it is twice the store price on Amazon. Tried Back To Black and did not like it and plain ole Armor All but dust sticks to that like a magnet. Just wanted to get some other options to try that y'all might think would work well. Thanks.

Took the test drive today. It was fun but very cramped for my wife and I. You better be really close to whomever you ride with in those things because you are going to get up close and personal with them. My shoulder was pushing against hers the entire time and we are not big people by any means. It felt slightly quicker but not as torquey as my Sling. Exhaust note is good for stock and the waste gate sound was addictive. Handling felt good but was not able to lean on it too hard. Hate the automatic. Even the side shift deal was awkward with your left hand and there is no way to know what gear you are in. Getting in and out of these Vanderhalls is a chore. The guy before me shattered the windshield on the demo trying to get out and accidentally pulled on the windshield. I can see that being a problem for them. It was a fun little ride but nothing to cause me to even think twice about getting rid of my Sling.

Yeah @FunCycle they told me that too at Coastal. Said it could out handle a Sling too. I'm thinking "BS" while they were telling me that one. I can see because of power to weight ratios it being quicker but no way that thing will out handle a Slingshot. Going to do the test ride and find out for myself I guess.

If a price was put on that 'used item', perhaps someone would step up here and take it off your hands. Win win win. Glad to see this resolved. It was a little painful to read through...

LOL I was thinking the exact same thing. @slingmods I think someone will be glad to take the old wing off your hands ( or Jack's hands). Great customer service by Slingmods here gang. That's how you do it.
