Merry Christmas to all - from Nova Scotia where it far too cold for a SS ride, although the ground is bare. To wjfyfe - my Welter duals are 2” and exit at the rear. The roof is a Twist Dynamics version 2. I truly do not know the vertical on my factory windshield but I think it is 7”. With that combo fumes are not an issue although I very occassionally catch a whiff. Good luck with your deliberations!!

Get a Madstad windshield it keeps the air moving in the cockpit
I have Welter duals, 1320 header, CAI, and a fabric roof. Last winter I installed a 11” Madstad windshield hoping to cut down on the wind on cooler days. While that was achieved, the fumes became unbearable. Removed the Madstad, reinstalled the stock one - fumes gone. Kudos to the Madstad folks - I lived near their factory (where I bought it) and they gave a full refund.

Is the belt dirty? Mine sometimes screeches after I drive on a dirt/dusty road. Hosing it off resolves the issue.
-
Is there any info about the body kits? I would be looking for an AC Shelby Cobra version.
-
I installed an aftermarket and much better looking than stock handle cover. However as others have said, surely you can trim the bottom of the OE cover enough to allow the lock to slide on.
-
As I recall, the handle is a friction fit and with a couple twists it will come off. But it has been a couple of years since I replaced mine so I might be wrong. I have the lock you just bought. Between it and the OE ignition security on Canadian SSs, I have as much anti theft and anti pranking protection as I need. Folks who intend to steal or vandalize it will find a way, so I don’t worry about that possibility.

Better pics of the Kruser Kaddy on each side.

These are great! Kruser Kaddy. Installed with P clamps rather than the clamps that come with the Kaddy. See the pics.

In Amherst, Nova Scotia this morning. 32 deg.

Or break up and remove the innards of the cats. A much cheaper option!!! At least it worked for me. But now I have Welter Duals - love’em.

Cutting back the baffles does change the tone. Easy to do with a cut-off wheel on a mini-grinder. I suggest doing it in 1/2” increments and listening to the tones after each cut. A very simple procedure.

Sorry. Can’t help you with that plan. I have amber strips beside the red. Ambers work with signals. Red is on as a switched running light. I have the fin’s brake light on a programmable controller.

How are SS’s shipped to the dealers? Is there a cover? What do dealers do with them?

My RZR at play on a weekend outing.

I have a Polaris 800RZR. It does everything I want, but no dump box. Had a Ranger 700XP before the RZR. Great for hauling stuff, had a dump box and bench seating for 3. But not much of a play toy UTV.,

@airoutlaw yes but can I add another fuse box with already having the FZ-1 installed

Yes. You can have as many as you want. But be careful not to draw more current than your battery and charging system can handle. And to use adequately sized fuses and wire to service each box.

While there are a number of firms specializing in Slingshot accessories and add-ons, a bit of creative thinking and a DIY attitude will save you a ton of moolah. And you will gain the satisfaction of personalizing your SS on your own.

frehlveycomet - check out the first few posts in this thread. More detail is there, but as noted a few posts ago, I changed the insert material to a more open mesh.

They are scary cheap to make. About $10. An aluminum “frame” cut (with a circular saw) from a derelict highway sign. The mesh is from a dollar store and is a bbq grill. They are held together with aluminum pop rivets. 1/2” angled aluminum (Home Depot, Ace Hardware, etc) is riveted to the perimeter of the frame. Attached to the SS with short stainless steel self tapping screws.
