Count me in for more track days. Any day, any track, any price within reason.
-
Here on the suburban east coast, it is hard to be alone on the road. If the teen in front, or the granny next to you, hydroplanes or panics or floods you with a splash, it affects you too. Your Tires don't help with that.
Hard rain, ponding, I park. Usually not for long. Lived to tell my tale.
-
Your words are true. If @TheRock is still on the case, I am ready for next time. 100%.
-
No, no head hanging. "We" don't do that. Pretty sure you passed me at some point. Even @3rdwheel did. Grr. Just don't want any evidence.
It was a hard day on a hard track. You showed nice form in the vid.
-
Huh. You passed a tanom, which doesn't count. You didn't pass me in that vid, so I like it a lot. Well done!

Goodyear Eagle F1s
Pro:
Much better than stock, though that's not too hard. Hated stock.
Noticeable difference in rain.
Can get very sticky in hard rides.
Long life. ~13k miles on my first rear before replacement.Con:
Not happy at track day. Might have just been me. Just the rear... -
That first shot is the entire track taken from way the heck up.
Passing it around. Early reviews are outstanding. My daughters are impressed. That means a lot.

Forgot a group pic! can't wait to hang out with you all again.
No worries, just come back east. Positive you could get room & board, and some wheels for free. And go for an awesome ride or two or three.
-
Where is DocG? He needs to know what he missed.
-
This is one of the areas where 2 wheel experience did cross over. Pull over, wait it out is correct, at least for me.
-
Many are happy with the stock tires. I was not. My goodyears are nice and sticky if you let them warm up, which takes a bit. Excellent if you have a hard day of spirited driving.
Not what I had hoped at track day this past Sunday. Sessions were 15 minutes per hour. Just never got there.
Please post a review of the bfg after you have some miles on them.
-
I swapped the stock tires for Goodyear eagle f1s. Better in the wet. Not perfect, but better. If you get fluttering at speed, it is the suspension, not tires - probably.
Ponding water, I park.
-
Yay! Your pics are great. The first one (DCSF1572.jpg) is me! #8 Rocks!
-
Ok my photographic skills are less than my driving skills but here are a few pictures
Seems like your upload skills are in the same league. Me no see nothin'.

These are excellent photos! The people are what make this forum so stinking special. Tell your brother thank you for the great shots!
Aw, shucks. Thanks for the kind words, though I did plan that out well. I think if I had told my brother in advance, he would not have posted.
More than one good pic of you and yours. Prompts me to give yet another award. Most awesome bride: Mrs Cameron. I tried hard, hard, hard to get my bride to ride along. She doesn't like fast, and fled to Canada. Seriously. I pushed too hard, and she bought tickets to Toronto to visit a friend.
Let's keep up the chit-chat about another track day and more rides. Track day is good livin' without my bride. Cruisin' the beautiful back roads of Virginia with my bride is good livin'. Life is short, and I ain't wastin' it.

So I guess the question is...
Do the people desire another Summit Point Track Day???
Absolutely. I couldn't sleep the night before, and couldn't find my zone. I could have done better.
And, next time I won't take the bait when you say I am in your sling. That rattled me. Seriously. I don't get fooled twice. Next time is your turn. Watch your 6.
But, yes, absolutely. Hard to learn the track, hidden turns and such. Now that I know the road, might actually pass somebody. In range esses and trigger, I was shifting. In your outstanding vid, you were not. dharmab gave me steering tips that only got deployed in my last session. They worked. Ready and eager to up my game.

Wow!! Amazing pics!! Your brother did an excellent job! Thank you so very much!! Is it okay if we download and reproduce?? Thanks for posting @ethermion
Thanks for the kind words to my brother Karl. I will forward, and he will be pleased. I brought him out as co-pilot as part of the many surprises we did for him for his 50th birthday. Told him to bring his camera and a leather jacket. He didn't know. When he saw the the Summit Point signs, he busted out laughing. Worth it.
He rode with me the first two sessions, shutterbugged after. Was hoping to get him some of his own laps behind the wheel, but he wasn't comfortable with that. Might have been the right answer, or maybe we just need to wait for next time. He is an assertive driver if he knows the ride.

Over the years my brother has spent enough money on camera gear to buy Tango's sling. And he has a knack for it, I think. That is probably 10% of the pics he took. The rest were not up to his standards.
Funny, the last pic is me. Looks like I am going fast. That is serious photography skills.
Copyright to all those who tracked at Summit Point, WV on April 24, 2016. The pics belong to us who were there. Go for it dude.
