OUCH - Not even Funny @TheRock wouldn't even consider something like that. I would start interviewing some of Noels competitors since he is always on the leading edge.

I think with Noel this will just be something that makes him stronger - you can't knock that guy down!

+1. Could not have said better myself.

I started out with Progressive for 3 months...it was crazy 2175.00 yr... ended up at National General Insurance and paying $1020.00 yr.

    46 yrs old
    Clean driving record
Not married but w/a great girlfriend :D

Interesting. I am with progressive at a wee bit under $800. Off to find other alternatives. Think I can do better. Need to renew end of July.

And yes, your girl is great. Charming at wrench day, my wife would have freaked out. Posted at summit, I pushed too hard to get my wife to come, and she fled to Canada - true story. Did your girl track with you? I don't remember.

Take care of her, and do tell her I hope to see her again!

Plan right now is to install it on My machine that tango has when we are at SSITS. If it all works out you are more than welcome to take her out for a rip!

You are evil. SSITS is a really bad time for me. May have to to blast down and back. I am a sucker for way cool.

Huh. This thread has some life.

@Jdin, I will pm you some contact info. You were bad ass at summit. A chin wag sounds great.

@Orangeman, I will check into what IBA is thinking. But frankly,I will do this just to make me happy. It is what I do. I propose that I certify for slings. More on that later.

At the moment, thinking to launch 06:00 from 22039 on June 11.

Warm regards from another base and Madstad owner. You have no idea the fun in front of you.

Post your location, and you will meet other owners. The only thing better than riding a sling, is riding in a swarm of slings. Really.

Way cool. It would be great to catch up again. My kingdom if I could pee more than a tablespoon at a time, so I hear you. Protocol will be jump an front and put on turn signals. I will probably benefit from a pit too.

No helmet comms may be a plus. Most tire of me rather quickly.

I will pick a specific date after a few days. Need to see if anyone else is up to the challenge.

Hated the stock tires, especially in the rain. Lasted less than 1500 miles before ditching them. My life deserves better.

Goodyear Eagle F1s, and no regrets. Rear lasted 13k miles or so before replacement. Fronts look new. I ride hard.

Still not good in snow, but that is a different story. Need to buy chains or studded tires.

Sena smh10 in bell mag9, built to accept the Sena. Mostly happy.

On phone calls, the other person hears me clearly, me less so, but not impossible.

Intercom with lovely wife worth it. But, strangely, sometimes I find myself leaning towards her because I didn't quite catch what she said. Think about that...

Noise cancellation very good. Pairs well with no-name junk headsets. Music okay up to 30 mph, then you start to lose dynamic range - no highs, no lows.

    Happy enough, would buy again.

Water - lots. OJ, granola, jerky. Water is dead serious. If you don't need to hit the head each pit stop, you are not good. Don't eat heavy before heading out. Fold the seats forward if you park when hot. Black underwear is good if you want to pack light,it's good for several days. Rags to clean your face shield if rain, some like micro fiber.

If you are planning a long trip, but not a long ride, ignore me.

Setting up a 1000 mile ride around Virginia.

I will be starting from Fairfax, VA zip code 22039. Kinda sorta near DC. Can bunk quite a few if you want to stage before launch or crash after success. No charge.

Fairfax, west on 66 to 81 a wee bit south of Winchester. 81 down to Bristol. The western spine of VA. A wee bit back up 81 to 58 across the southern border of VA. 58 to the confusing interstates to Virginia Beach. Should be sweet scenic ride. Pick up 64, ride past Richmond to route 15 to Gordonsville. 15 to 20 to 3 to 95 near Fredericksburg. Another sweet ride, if you just like to cruise. 95 back to 22039.

Any man down will get brief attention, then be promptly abandoned. I am neither a mechanic nor a doctor. I just ride.

Google suggests 18 hours, which does not include pit stops for fuel and nose powdering. I think it can be done in less, having done such rides before.

Not good for socializing if you don't have helmet comms - I will have a Sena headset. No food stops. Unless a hurricane, no stops for rain. Having done this before, I can provide tips for travel snacks, hydration and dress if you need.

Thinking any Saturday in June. Depends on who cares to post. Happy to accept those who want to pick up and drop off along the trip.

Great chance to prove your sling is not just a driveway ornament.

    @MACAWS, @Cameron Roberts, @Jdin, @TheRock, @DocG, @3rdwheel, dharmab, @V-SHOT, @WraithSS, @lrobbi, @WOLF, Tango, @Trucon01. Hpocus, @nastydugout. If I missed somebody, sorry. Encourage all to add more @ signs.

Happy to and will ride alone if no takers. I ride.

Yet another Internet thread gone strange.

Vaping to me is MUCH less harmful than smoking. After too many tries to quick the stinkies, vaping has been wonderful. Currently vaping 0 nic. Trying to wean of vaping.

I am not a doctor nor scientist. I am sure vaping is not good in the long run either, it is just less bad than stinkies. My body tells me so. And I hate the idea that young folks who are not using vaping to get off of stinkies might be picking up the vape habit just to be cool, like I did with cigarettes.

The Angel in a tiny part of my brain hopes for a future where nobody smokes, nobody vapes. The world would be a better place.

Just did some google maps math. My house out 66 to 81 near Winchester. 81 down to Bristol, down the western spine of Virginia. 58 following the southern border of Virginia, tagging Danville, and Clarksville,to Virginia beach. 64, past Williamsburg, past Richmond to 15. 15 to gordonsville , pick up 20 back east to 95. About 1000 miles.

Many of us near me, Winchester, Harrisonburg. Bristol, dunno. More of us in gordonsville, Virginia beach,Williamsburg, Fredericksburg.

    All in Virginia.

    Google says 18 hours.

Any interest? Start at 6:00 a.m., done midnight.

Grey ones or pink ones, which is faster? Perhaps time to settle the issue. Let's pick a target 1000 miles away, and see which (and who) hits it first. I'm game, playing on the grey team. Any takers from the Mary Kay team?

Sorry I could not post. Normally would have. After the missionary run for booze and blues I ended up staying up into the wee hours drinking and talking. And had prior mothers day plans.

Props to those who posted and got 'er done.
