Which brand is everyone leaning toward. I was just looking at DDMWorks offering. It looks a little more rugged.

Guess I need to check out the website for Maggie Valley seeing that I'm only about 3 hrs to the west from there.

How do you download them into the SS? a USB stick?
Yes. computer to stick, stick to SS. Just like when you add music to your SS except you leave the music on the stick

Yeah, I've played with it for a about a year now. I've made routes on my computer and transferred them to the memory stick in the SS and then downloaded them into the SS. Works great. I've also mapped routes while driving section of road and uploaded them to the RideCommand page. Works quite well.

January 10th 2021 and it was 33 degrees but sunny so I took it out of the garage, down the driveway and back which accounted for about 1/2 mile. All I wanted to do is get the engine up to temp because it had sat for about 6 weeks, (shoulder surgery).

Try Progressive
I went through USAA first and then to Progressive and my insurance is at $650 this year and it was $600 last year but I had a SxS insured also so that gave me the multiple policy discount last year.

Have you had a chance to ride Warwoman rd? It runs from 28 over to Clayton, GA. It is a great road as well. We have some great rides here. 178 between Rosman, NC and hwy 11 in SC, Ceasars Head/pretty place in SC, Sassafras Mtn lookout and many more. This puc is from Wigington rd. Over look just off 107
Yep, warwoman, wolf pen gap, blood mtn, and it goes on and on... great roads.

Hate to sound stupid but what state does that rep?

Can you add some Baker 'Air Wings' to bring in some air movement.
Don't know... I wouldn't
-
My background is two wheels getting a lot of air.. That's the reason I went with the slingshot because it gives me some of the feel that the MC did with the air. As far as looking thru or over the windshield..... I don't care how tall or short you are there are going to be times you look through the edge... I don't even see it anymore. It's like anything you get used to it. In summer I'll go with the 3.5 inch simply for the extra air.

I have the 7.5 inch and would like the 3.5 for summer.

A piece of clear nylon tubing on the end of the valve that reaches down into my drain pan and no messy drain pan ever! First mod I do to all my vehicles.
Haven't added one to the SS yet but both of my Trucks have them and it makes things soooooo much easier when changing oil.

When I get out that way, I think I know who my guide to those roads will be!!
Thanks Doc!!!Be glad to show you. More roads than those two also... Hwy 28 is awesome too. Hwy 30 also.

One of my peeves about the SS, is big steering ratio.
I wonder what the impression will be riding that road in the 2020 with the tighter wheel.
I think ours lock to lock is like 3.3 or something to around 2.5 on the 20's.
Yep.... it was a chore at times to turn into some of the corners. You couldn't keep both hands on the wheel and just turn at times....

Great videos Dr. Fubar!!
(Except for the dirt road at the beginning! )
I'd be afraid I'd have an "Oh shit!" moment on that road!
US129 gets a bad rap because of some of people who push way beyond their limits and pay the ultimate price. Actually the "Cherohala highway" that runs between Tellico Plains, TN and Robbinsville, NC has more serious accidents. It has longer sweeping turns and speeds can be much higher there. I've come up on 2 fatalities myself while riding the Cherohala. But again it's riding way beyond your means or not knowing the road. There is one corner going east and one going west that is a decreasing radius turn. That's where most riders get in trouble. And the Cherohala has steel guardrails which I'm pretty sure don't give when you hit them.. Ride safe!

Ride it till she pukes. Always a good motto!

You know, funny you should say that on the forth run across the hill the temp started to climb a bit.

My Wife and I headed for the Dragon on Sunday. I've got a ton of miles on that road but on 2 wheels. I found that 3 wheels is a lot of fun too. No dragging of knees but we hit .8G's a couple of times. I'm sure there is more left in it but with my Wife as passenger I like to take it a little easier. In keeping with "if there's no pictures it didn't happen". Put this in your smipe and poke it!
