Welcome and not gonna lie; a wee bit envious of your property. I just purchased a house with ½ acre and have been absolutely thrilled.

We were very fourtunate that my Wife's Grandfather owned it and we wanted to keep it in the family so we bought it. I can't imagine having neighbors....LOL

I have heard many say they do not know how to edit video. People may make video of an event or ride and find they only want to show a small part that shows their Slinghsot in a great ride. Editing a video is almost a must, you can change the sound from just a lot of rushing noise to a nice music sound or you can ad your own voice and a description. You can add a number of video scenes together of an event. I think I have put this together in easy to understand steps that will lead you to nice video editing project of your own. Good Luck.

Good video. I have Garmin cameras and use the program that comes with them. It allows me to use several camera angles at the same time.

welcome. I am about 15 miles from Moonshine 28 in SC. We will have to meet up sometime

Sounds good. I've put 9000+ miles on the Sling since buying it last January. Most of the miles have been over in the mountains. I'm always ready to ride, well, as soon as my shoulder heals. It's about a month away from being strong enough.

I just found this area. Didn't realize I should intro myself.

I live on 122 acres in SE Tennessee with my Wife and three dogs, one cat, chickens, guinea fowl, well you get the picture. I recently retired and my Wife is due to retire in a couple of months so we bought our retirement toy. I'm only about an hour away from N Georgia and the western edge of NC so I have a ton of great roads. My background is 2 wheels and I have hundreds of passes on "The Dragon", hwy 28, blood mtn, hwy 60 and 68. I'm 68 at this time and two wheels and my riding style were going to get me in trouble and I know damn well I don't heal like I used to.

And for you hound-dogs one of my favorite eatery's, Hooters.

Ok, here is the response I got from him:

The main get together spot will be located at the Dragon Slayer Hwy 160. The event will be a 3 day event with Saturday being the main day. The host hotel for the event is The Inn at Wise located in Wise VA. Mention Slingshot when reserving your rooms to get the discount "$79.99" per night. This hotel is really nice with a bar & restaurant. There will be rides set up through out the weekend. They will be closing some of the roads for us. There is a lot of stuff still in the works & will keep you posted

I spent some time over the weekend trying to figure out where to get some of the info...would like to do. I don't Facebook.

Yeah, I'm waiting for a response from the fella I know in KY. His name is Greg Reese. Hell, he may be a member of this forum. It would surprise me if he wasn't. As soon as he responds I'll post.

I did PT for 3 or 4 weeks also before they decided to operate. Hurt 24 hours a day until the operation. Gets old after a while, doesn't it?!? Then 6 weeks or so afterwards, with a "down" time of 6 weeks after the operation. Luckily, we have an EXCELLENT PT group, and it's less than a mile away, so I walked to each session. I have had my own little TENS unit for years. Love that thing. One of the therapists was the grand daughter of a life long friend. Turned out, she lived a couple of blocks up the street from me. (Don't ya just love small towns?) I got so I was looking forward to a couple of hours with "my girls". I still do most of the exercises and stretches.

Yep, I'm only about 3 miles from the pt group. And my Wife has had a Tens unit for years. I never used it until after this surgery.

I understand the safety reasoning for the harness install. I added a 4pt to my SxS a few years ago and it's such a pain to put on when you have to use the SxS. Especially if it's a short ride. I wish I'd never installed them. I'm thinking it would be the same trouble using them in the SS. Just my observation. I think I'll leave my sling as it is from the factory. That being said, nice job on the install.

My experience with a manual transmission has only been since the SlingShot. :/ With that being said, we got it in August and parked it in November for winter months... I had driven short trips, parking lots, side roads, and gotten comfortable with the clutch as to when it engages when released... but apparently over the winter months, my foot forgot, "smooth operator" it is not. Steve has offered me to drive this year, but I would turn the offer down, as I was unfamiliar with the road and where we were, and how the layout of turns, land, and stops that might be predicted on a more familiar route.
Anywho... this is my first ride of the year.:cursing::00008862:

Not as skilled as others, but SlingShot didnt die... and neither did we so.... technically I did good right?????
I await the uncontrolled laughter and embarrassment from my fellow skilled peers. :00007579: <-------( @Tripod )
