Hey Doc, is it a little scary backing up the SS on to the ramps??

I kinda like the idea for oil changes and such!

Not at all. You just make sure you're lined up and make a running start in reverse.

Actually it takes a little getting used to but it is handy as hell. Makes everything easier to get to. Especially changing oil in the engine and angle drive.

PS: Just remember to set the parking brake because if you have it up on the ramps and you want to open the hood you could pull it right off the ramps and over you. No, I didn't do it but I came close.

Well saw this mod on a FB Group and thought I would replicate it. Came out pretty good, today I will clean up the wood base and make it look pretty. The only problem I have now is I need another set of cup holders for when the wife rides, she doesn't want to lose her cup holders. So if anyone has a set of cup holders for sale please let me know.

You trim the bolts hanging down? I would think they'd come close to the drive shaft.

Does anyone know if anyone makes a carbon fiber end cap for the silencer used on the Welter dual exhaust? I believe the brand that is being used are Arrow GP2, but I am not sure.
    Thanks,

I had Arrow on my Triumph Speed Triple and they had a small insert that you could add or remove. If you are trying to quiet the exhaust some, I didn't notice much of a difference at all.

I know this thread was started a while ago but I'd echo the sentiments everyone else is saying. I changed my sway bar to a Twist Dynamics, (+/- 650 lbs/in) and it was a huge difference. I spend a lot of time on the "dragon", (always have), and have pictures from Killboy, in the same corner with the stock swaybar and the Twist Dynamics sway bar. You can see quite a bit less body roll with the aftermarket and the cornering feel was so much better. I've been thinking about adding shocks but at $1200 to $1400 dollars I'm not sure I want them that bad.

drfubar that is a beautiful part of the country you live in. I have stayed in Dayton TN on several different occasions while fishing bass tournaments on Lake Chickamauga. Didn’t have the Slingshot then, but have been wanting to come back up there and ride some of those roads and maybe hang out a little where they bottle Jack Daniels. 🤣. Hope to get up that way in the near future.

Yep, I'm about 3 miles from the "boat dock" where you probably launched from. It's a good little town and Chickamauga has become one of the premier bass lakes in the country. Unfortunately the town is getting bigger all the time. I see you are in Anderson, my son and daughter in law live in Pendleton. You'll have to make a trip this way when it gets warmer.

SS's been sitting on the ramps for almost 2 months now (shoulder/bicep surgery) so I decided to warm it up and al least get the oil in the angle drive turned over. Made two laps on the driveway which is in the neighborhood of 1.5 miles total.:D Just putted along in first gear letting the engine warm up. 43 degrees out but the engine got up to temp fairly quickly. She's back on the ramps in the garage again. Probably going to be another 3-5 weeks before the doctors will let me bang gears.X/ Oh well, warmer weather is coming too.

I get mine serviced there. I bought my used from a family member. I'm not sure if Scenic Riders are active.

Yeah, they didn't have many rides I don't think last summer because of the Covid. I talked to a couple of the members and they pretty much meet in Chatt, ride to someplace for food and then ride back. Not really my style of riding. I don't mind stopping for a bite once in a while but my Wife and I usually carry a few snacks and always have water with us. Rather pull off somewhere with a view and snack. I also heard there was a lot of drama in that club and I'd just soon stay away from that.;)

There is a market place on here for that. On that bar just under the slingshot info banner there is an arrow on the right that points right. Click on that and the word marketplace will appear. You can post away in there. Hope that helps. :-)

Yes sir, thank you. I found it right after I posted this message.8o Again, thank you.
