Legal, yes. But it is unlikely you'll be able to register it in Alaska. I could be wrong, but not all states/provinces have figured out how to treat it. How is it registered, and what type of license do you need? Different depending on where you go.

For example, in Canada (last I checked, may not be current), in BC it is registered as a car. In Alberta, it is registered as a motorbike and requires the same license as a bike. In Saskatchewan, you can't register it yet (though I know of one person who used their Alberta company to register it for use on Sask roads).

Alaska is probably in the same state as Saskatchewan. Can't register it, so can't sell it.

yeah I really want to get one. I have a short shifter in my daily driver, and have for ten years. The Sling and it's stock shifter feels like an old grain truck.

Problem is I just bought a new house, which included a $130,000 down payment. I need to hold off a few more months before I can justify putting more money into what my wife refers to as "that silly car."

I need new tires, short shifter, and a new intake and exhaust. If anyone wants to donate to my cause, send me a message.

Yep. My house has 5 people ... and 3 baths, 4 showers, 4 toilets, 7 sinks, and one Slingshot. I gave up my toilet and shower for my Sling. Oh who are we kidding, I don't even have a sink, my wife has all of it for herself...
