I didn't get the R8 but I was reeeeally close. In the end my wife and daughter loved the Porsche Turbo S more but I couldn't stomach the depreciation even though the speed was face melting.
I'm loving the GT3 though, it's a blast to drive.

Thanks! @rabtech I had planned on a matte white lambo like your paint job but ended up at Porsche after checking out those, the new R8, McLaren and Ferarri.
The Porsche is Carerra White which is a bit metallic.
The R8 was flat white and didn't do anything for me. Their black is metallic and looks good though.
Sling was delivered to my new city via enclosed trailer late last night. Drove it around today and it feels and drives fine.
Hey everyone screws up. At least it's minor damage and fixable!
I had even washed it that morning too though.
The car was supposed to go on a truck for shipment to my new city.
Now it's at my brothers house waiting for a replacement wheel so he can fix it and the truck can be rescheduled. Headed to my new home tomorrow slingshot-less
Thankfully Polaris had a matching wheel and should be here by Friday.
I just don't have the time or want upgrade all the wheels right now. Bad timing.
Thanks guys, funny thing is we barely got shaken up. Maybe doing 20 around a corner and it went a little wider with the extra weight than I'm used to. The wheel tool all the impact.
Found you guys pretty quickly.
I saw the same thing happen at ChallengerTalk.com, mods went nuts and all the real performance guys went to ModernMoparForum.com leaving basic conversation about plasti-dip and catch cans. It happens.
