All Out Cycle, Chesapeake VA. Took sling there for front end problem. Parts were needed to fix it. They ordered parts, and they were on back order immediately. Finally had to get parts from another dealer. Had service and state inspection done while it was there. Picked it up yesterday, they said no charge, we’ll take care of the bill for taking so long. We need more dealers like that.

I’ve always had good luck with All out Cycle. I have confidence that they’ll get it fixed. It’s just something that they’ve never seen before. They said, and as far as I can see, nothing was wrong with anything as far as A frames, and suspension goes, it just looks like Polaris left out about half the shims on the top of the A frame. They said they ordered the shims, and all came in, except the thinnest ones which are used for the fine tuning. Makes ya wonder, if they have all but the fine tuning shims, maybe there’s others that have this problem.

just got back from dealer, slingshots been there for 3 weeks. When I took it in, I told them I thought that camber might be the problem, because I had put a big level on side of tire and it seemed to me to be way off. They said, never had that problem, no adjustment to fix that. I showed him where their were shims that was there for something. New guy I talked to today read the mechanics report, excessive camber alignment problem. Said they were Waiting on parts. I ask what parts, SHIMS. Said each wheel was almost an inch off.

I have a 2019 SL, I got to looking at front tires last Sunday, and the inside of both are wore past the tread. Rest of tire is fine. It only base 4400 miles on them. It’s at dealer now, waiting on outcome. Mechanic said he’d never seen one like that. Took a bunch of pictures and sent it off for warranty work. They replied that they hadn’t seen that either, and wondered if I had wrecked it, or modified it some way, which I haven’t. I put a level on side of both rims, and the camber on both is a whole bubble from straight. I ask the mechanic and he said they had no way to check that as far as he knew. Said it was probably an alignment issue. It drives fine as far as I can see, never drove another to compare it to. I was wondering if anyone else has ever seen anything like that ?

I don’t see why tire and wheel size really matters. If original tire diameter is 27”, and you put a 27” diameter tire configuration back on it, it seems to me like it should be samo samo. In exaggeration, seems like you could go with a 10” rim if it would fit, and as long as you get some sort of a tire to make up the difference to get a 27” diameter, you should be good. The energy and torque and all to turn 27”, shouldn’t mattter ima thinken.

wife loves the slingshot, but disliked the ride. I thought about new shocks, but couldn’t justify price, in the hopes that it would do any good. Thought about new seats, again, the price had me a little gun shy. I got some real soft seat covers, for the back, and seat, and they helped a lot. The low profile tires always had me wondering about how they rode, especially on the rear. I found an 18” rim at dealer, that came off of an earlier model, that they said would fit on my slingshot. I took the rim to discount tire, and ask if they had a 255/45/18 tire. I had a 255/35/20 on rear, and looked on computer and found out a 35-20” and a 45-18” tire was the same diameter. The 45 has an inch more sidewall, which in my old mind, theoretically would mean a better ride. I got it put on today, and went for a ride on the bumpiest road I could find. It seems like it made a big difference, tomorrow the boss is going to make her opinion on it.
    sorry so long

I have a 19 SL, I was wondering if anyone makes, or if it would fit, a 16 or 17” wheel for the rear ? I’ve been looking, and if you could get a high profile tire on the rear, I was hoping it would make for a more comfortable ride. From what I can figure though, the only way to get a wider sidewall, is to get a smaller wheel. Thanks
