i love mine. Im 6 ft and disabled. I like the versitility of it. One of the best buys i made for my ss. The install was not too bad. Just follow the instructions. I love that if i want to go open air, I dont have to leave the top in the garage. Just 4 knobs, move it back and your open air. Or covered. Slingmods.com has a great install video

Ty. My final chemo session is next week. Dr said said im in remission, so looking forward to staying healthy. And taking out the SS more and more

Took my SS out for the first time in 8 months (recovering from cancer). Damn, the wind therapy felt great. I missed driving it sooo much. I just put only 15 miles on it, but the best 15 miles in months.

im just curious, when the SS is made into a quad, does it have to be reregistered/insured as a car? Not being a smart as@. Or does the original vin remain in effect?

i can feel the pain of having cancer. In jan 2021 i was rushed to the hospital and almost died twice from stomach cancer (a very sudden shock and totally unexpected) Luckily I have a great oncologist and surgeon that saved my life. Now going through my final chemo session in august. Im in remission. Dr said no more bikes, so sold off my goldwing and valkyrie. But still have my 19 SS. One of the first buys was the roof from slingmods. It is the Slinglines Flip top Modular Roof System. I think it is worth every penny. Easy to install. I love the fact that the top can be removed, but stays with the SS when removed for a fast reinstall. Dr said to stay out of the sun, or wear appropriate clothing. Even though I have not been in my SS since Jan, Im hoping to get her back on the road next month when I can get back in the seat again (I let my son drive it to keep the battery up) . I know some love the canvas tops, or gullwing types, but I love my system and I know how well works. Easy to open when getting in the SS, great for my wife. Just fuel for thought

Had a great time this weekend - part of my CVMA family met at Cabot, AR on Friday morning. Took Hwy 5 to AR-124 to Hwy 65 - to AR 7. Just a warmup for AR-123 (The Arkansas Dragon) Damn I love driving that road. Then to Jasper AR and on to the Old Dogpatch to stay at the HUB at about 4:30. Saturday did the roads to Ponca and the surrounding country. By the time we made it home Sunday to Little Rock, we had about 600 miles of driving. Wife's face was a little chapped from all the wind therapy, but she loved every mile. Leaves are just starting to turn. Love to hear my buddies tell me how great they ride the twisties, until I tell them I'm on my brakes half the time waiting for them to speed up lol
Doc - if the forecast would have held out, I would have given you a shout as we had planned to go through Fayetteville to see my brother, but didn't want to chance it.

Looking forward to heading up to Jasper Ark this weekend to relax and drive some twisty roads Friday and Saturday. Maybe head over to Fayetteville on Sunday WeaTHER SHOULD BE PERFECT

Got to hang out at the local airport with FIFI yesterday. Had a great time talking to the flight crew

Almost a shame it didn't happen the guy filming. Riding a motorcycle in traffic is already tough enough without doing stupid sh*t like that. I'm just glad my bike is too wide to lane split. Ill just take my time getting to my destination when I ride my Valkyrie - at least its just a little easier to be seen in the SS. And people wave with 5 fingers not just one

I was really planning on making it there on at least Saturday. But this is a CVMA chapter yearly fundraiser, so I have to support them (like they support my chapter). Always next year. The drive to Hot Springs will be nice though. Told my wife she needs to be wearing a jacket for the morning.
-
Well, I wont be able to make it Have another commitment to my motorcycle association in Hot Springs on Sat that I cant get out of.
-
Still hoping to make it - a few little issues trying to occupy my ride up there.

No prize fish - largest was 2 lbs. Limited out with 5 keepers. I fished barbless hooks so catch and release for the most part. Caught about 20

Took a great ride on Friday to go trout fishing in Yellville, AR US-65 then AR-27. Love AR-27 when there is no traffic. Love taking the curves. Trout fishing was great, even with low water on the White River. Coming back Saturday was lot slower - Tahoe in front of me didn't know how to accelerate, only brake - bad when there is no where to pass on AR-27. Lot of holiday traffic heading to the Buffalo River
