I have, I'm sure. From the front a Slingshot looks like an exotic car. I've rolled up behind some true muscle on the backroads and usually they look at me a few times in the rearview mirror and then it's on. I never try to pass, just tuck in behind and get home twice as fast as usual. I get a chuckle knowing they have twice the engine and usually twice the cost, but they don't recognize what it is exactly that's behind them. A lotta fun.

We all know this machine invites shout outs and compliments from people that are driving past, people walking by, people drooling over it. We all know the questions.
But, in all seriousness, how many times have you heard..."Hey, I love your motorcycle."
Do you correct them? Do you refer to it as an autocycle? It's no big deal to me. I always say "Thank you" and gauge what I think is the level of interest and knowledge before I go any farther.
I was just curious to know if very many of the general public thinks of it as a car or motorcycle.

I used the LG Tone bluetooth, like "Slingshot Garage" uses, for everything from mowing the grass to my morning walk and riding my Slingshot. They work great. I was Looking for a small amp to use when putting around town to listen to my music from my phone.
I haven't been able to sync my Galaxy S6 to the factory radio from day one. My wife's I-Phone has no problem. I was looking for a work-around to eliminate the factory radio for my music listening. The reason I need a work-around is I can't sync my phone and the factory radio. I use Spotify from my phone for all my music.
The manual outlines how to pair an I-Phone but never mentions an android phone. My infotainment screen never acknowledges my Samsung phone, whether bluetooth or usb. It says no device. Is it not compatible? -
I use my bluetooth earbuds synched to my S6 when driving to help with road noise and just because the factory radio isn't that good. I think a good solution would be to have a simple bluetooth amp that I could stream music from my phone to the factory speakers. I would like to know what some of you have installed in your own rides. Thanks for any suggestions.

I've thrown my vote away a few times. I guess I'm a contrarian? In spite of that, through Republican and Democratic presidencies, I haven't noticed any real impact on my day to day existence.

That wind coming off the Rockies is famous for causing all kinds of problems. In fact, it affects what happens down here in Kansas. I-70 weather is crazy on the Colorado and Kansas border.

Rain in my part of the country is pretty rare. I have a separate thread about the wind. Being a Slingshot owner has made me very aware of the weather forecasts before I go out. It has also made me very aware how unpredictable the weather is.

Jonathan -- I am only about 3 hours from you, and I was really jealous of your post about the snow on Trail Ridge. We are forecast for a solid week of 100+. Once you get to a lower elevation it is hard to imagine the difference in weather patterns.

I guess I was fishing for some stories about fighting the wind. Here in the flatlands we get some fierce winds that whip across the roads and cause dust storms and brown-outs. I have had my passenger-side floor mat fluttering and flapping and all I wanted to do was get home. I catch myself wondering what the others on the road are thinking about when they see me. It's hard to look cool when you are getting whipped around behind the wheel.

Went out for a ride today and got into some strong crosswinds. I drove the last 20 miles with one hand pinning my glasses to my face. This wasn't the first time I've run into this. I guess I'll have to invest in a strap or something. I know I came close to having my glasses blown off, so surely someone here has had it happen.

Don't know. I have my head in the NSFW section.

I also want to thank all the members for the reading material. Everything from tech to heck. I love it. By the way my mod virginity just went south. Sorry I won't be available for any sacrifices.

It's raining and cold today, and it got me thinking. Is there a correlation between bad weather and mod purchasing? I know we are known for throwing money at all our favorite mods, day and night. Is it possible that we spend even more during down-time? I sure hope the sun comes out soon. Thanks.

Maybe "mod virgin" was a poor choice of words. We don't want to get the NSFW people involved.

I have #907 and it's still in original trim. I love all the mods, but a new back tire will be my first purchase. I know after my first plunge into the goodies, there will be no turning back, but for now I'm a mod virgin. Anyone else out there that can relate?
