@Cowboy So you are telling me that the two outer lights and the two center lights have different fuses? Could I remove the fuses so I can see which one controls which lights just for me to verify. Also, if more than one fuse do they all have the black wire for me to cut and run to the switch? Is there any specific switch I should get and do you think I can find one at Lowe's or Home depot? I hate ordering stuff since I want to get things done right away lol. Oh and another question. When I cut the black wire which end goes to which prong on the switch or does that not matter? Thanks

@hunter Ok thanks for the info I already know. I prefer or preferred to build my own. I'm not asking everybody or anybody to like it or buy it. I'm putting it out there for people that appreciate handmade items.

@hunter There is a base under the dash that you have to install by removing the radio that secures the windshield support. This is held on with two bolts from the top and two locking washers and locking nuts from inside the radio compartment.

Awesome, Enjoy that ride and share some pics please

This one is simple. Made from maple wood. If anyone wants to add anything to it they can simply screw it into the support. Otherwise I built it just for the window support. In the future I might change the style and maybe add some threaded inserts, but for now it's just a window support.

Not sure what a ripper is or a Ram mount. I have this on my SS Sl with the factory stock windshield

I wanted to get a windshield support for my SS but seeing the ripoff prices out there and as a woodworker I decided to make my own. Here is my version of the windshield support. If anyone is interested I can make them per request but only in black. $25 plus shipping. They are painted in black with up to 8 coats of lacquer.

so what is the insert material made of now and what did you use to make the frame where the insert goes on

@Cowboy Not sure if that mod is there or not. Bought the SS brand new. I want all lights off with the switch

@rabtech Ok folks help me out here. I want to do this but how do I know which wire is the black low amperage? Is there more than one for that fuse? One other post shows a whole bunch of other items being removed while this post shows only the fuse box, Why? If I remove the fuse box and turn it over how do I know which fuse controls the lights? Also, isn't there only 2 wires from the fuse that I shouldn't have to worry about which is the black low amperage (1 or the other ) color coded? I also have the 2018 SL. Will this be different on this year too. Anyone and everyone please share what you know. I know I'm capable of doing this I just need questions answered and or pictures. Thank you all so much. Also what size wire would I use to run to the switch and back?

@R Lough Finally got around to taking the radio out using your posted pictures. Worked like a charm. Now off to fabricate my own window support. Thank you so much

@airoutlaw 4.5 hours for me and I'm still going. This will be my first run with others

Ok thanks. I'll have to look at the wire to see.

I have a set of 4 Halo rings I want to install on my SS. Do I have to hook these up through my extra fuse block or can I hook each one individually to each headlight. The leads are too short to reach the fuse block so what size wire to extend the leads and what size fuse do I need if I hook them to my extra fuse block
-
I have 4 halos I want to connect. I too have the fuse block but the leads from the halos are of course too short. Can I just connect the leads to the Slingshot headlights and if not then what size wire do I need to extend the existing ones and what size fuse should I use. No instructions came with this stuff BTW
