I also installed the DEI heat kit and also added insulation above the firewall. This way the heat cannot get to the passenger compartment through the glove box. It runs all the way over behind the hood latch so heat cannot get into the SS by the moirror mounts as @Orangeman described above.

@Tim0341 did you get a new slingshot?
Yes I did! Traded in the 2015 for the white one. The dealership let me have both SS's for a weekend to swap everything over.

A company called WindRestrictor (King Penn Industries Inc.) in Dallas Texas contacted me to see if they could borrow my SS to develop a new product. ***I do not work for or getting paid to promote this*** This is a cool product to add some bling and it also cuts down on the wind turbulence in the cockpit. They have been inquiring about attending some of the rally's. Browse through their gallery and see some of the work they have done .

It will be great in 10 years to tell people you went the first Ozark Invasion and had only 50 Slingshots. Looking forward to it again. This year will be way nicer to my wallet, after $5000 spent last year on mods I will have $$$ for beer this year!

I have a 2016.5 and I immediately swapped my header and exhaust over so no Polaris muffler shroud to worry about. The DEI kit is the second one I have installed, great kit and not hard to do.

Wired mine to the TRICLed fuse block

Went last year and had a great time, going back again this year!

Under your roll hoops where the black plastic protrudes up is a great place to store your compressor and plug kit on one side and your slime in the other. Just put a torx driver in your glove box incase you need to access these hidden compartments. I put my slime can inside a heavy duty zip lock if it leaks.

I just installed the DEI heat kit form Slingmods. This is the second kit I installed. Installed it on my '15 and now my 2016.5. I am sure the new radiator shroud will make a difference but I don't think it will a night and day difference. If you plan on changing the stock muffler this shield will not work with the majority of after-market exhaust out there.

New harness bar, impressed with the quality, very easy install.

Attention DFW riders and surrounding areas. Grapevine Polaris this Saturday, May 21st is having a breakfast and meet and greet. Starts at 10am and everyone is invited. Last time we had over 30 Slingshots! Come meet your fellow riders, I am sure between all of us we have all the newest and shiniest mods out there (seats, turbos, tops, wheels) and maybe the newest SS in Fire Blue....

Tim, I'm gonna give him a call tomorrow. I wonder if he can issue policies in Arkansas?
Allstate here quoted me $926. I'm paying $898 with Farm Bureau right now.Drew, he cannot write policies in a different state but I would have your agent call him and see what he is checking off on the boxes to get this great rate. I am sure my agent Brian will help them.
-
Over 25 of us in the Dallas / Fort Worth area have our SS's insured through Allstate with one agent, Brian Certain. Brian said Allstate is the preferred insurance provider for the Slingshot. I have a clean record, carry 300/100/300, $250 deductible, $8,000 in accessory coverage and free trip/hazard insurance. All that for $380 a year! I have everything else through USAA so that price is without multi-car discounts.....
It would not hurt to give your local Allstate agent a call.

Fed Ex says my harness bar should be at my place on Thursday. I will try and get pics loaded that night so everyone can see them. I cut the plastic on my SS last time, this bar should make the install fast and painless.

posted this in the other trhread on 4pt harness, posted here encase someone is not following that thread.
Received email from Slingmods about the harness bar. At $249 it is $60 more than Bert's Mega mall. I went ahead and ordered sight unseen. Did not feel like cutting the plastic on this SS.

That pic was before the harness, she would put the shoulder strap under her boobs so not to get a tan line...

Wasn't sure if you wanted a pic of the harness or what the harness has to strap down!
