6 AM - Reveille - Vietnam Veterans Memorial - Wake-up call for all riders taking part in the Rolling Thunder XXXI First Amendment Demonstration Run. Bikers rally in the North and South Pentagon parking lots at 7 AM for a noon departure.
9 AM - Thunder Alley Opens: Location: 22nd and Constitution Ave NW
12 PM - Rolling Thunder XXXI First Amendment Demonstration Run
First Amendment Demonstration Run - Bikes leave the North Pentagon parking lot to begin their run through the Mall area. After the run, police will direct riders to West Potomac Park, where they will pay tribute to their fallen brothers and sisters.
1:30 PM - Rolling Thunder Speakers Program (Lincoln Memorial)
3 PM - Musical tribute to Veterans - TBA
8 PM - Memorial Day Concert - at the Capitol.

is anyone from the crew going to participate in the Rolling Thunder this weekend? they open the gates on pentagon parking lot at 0700 and start the ride through DC at 12.

I was out driving yesterday and saw a couple of slingshots come through LORTON that I have not seen around here before. One was red with red spoked rims and the second looked either dark blue or black with Led's lit up. was it anyone from our group?

So I went ahead and ordered the rims from roaring toyz over the weekend. 20" for the fronts and 22" rear with a 305. cant wait to get them on the sling and give it a spin. I like the more openness of the rim so that the LED's will shine brighter. (I hope lol)

the radio is the marine audio CMS5 from clarion. my SS is a base model and the radio is an aftermarket add on. I am going to pull the head unit out today and hit it with a blow dryer or something. I hope that it helps. water has to be sitting in it somewhere. and when I put it back together I am going to caulk the shit out of it lol.

update from the "water" issue, slingshot is all dried out, but the radio is still malfunctioning, volume wont work, wont shut down by pressing the power button, keeps saying the sling is in reverse. just a mess. not quite sure what to do next lol. oh besides scream lol.

I have been looking at the new rims, talked to @ericastar76 a couple of times about it, underground autostyling has a set of rims specifically made for the slingshot and the offsets that they are quoting is way off, this is from them:

We do these all the time no issue with offset or alignment, the rear is centered and not off. Front offset 20'' is 32 and rear offset 22'' is 42.

thoughts? good, bad, indifferent . . . . .

well I washed it Friday and waxed it. looked great, no issues, but washed it yesterday because of all the pollen and other crud on it and I heard the water going between the gas cap and the tubing beside it and gurgling and I sprayed out the inside, seats and tunnel and dashboard. and this morning the dang thing is acting up like a spoiled kid thrown into a cold lake. of course I have not used the leaf blower to dry it off, I guess I should do that next time, but I don't wash under the hood. at least not yet.

I HAVE A QUESTION lol, Has anyone, after washing the toy, started having issues with it/ I am thinking I got water somehow all over the battery and it might be shorting something, but for some reason I washed it last night, now the radio will shut off for no reason, the radio will all of a sudden start to display that it is in reverse even though I am DRIVING it, and the backup camera will say NO CONNECTION. cant figure this shit out. I am hoping that the sun today will dry the damn thing out and it will act normal, but now I need to find out what wire is bare or exposed, that is of course if this is really the problem.

not looking for unique per say, but looking good. there aren't many slingshots around here so far. but I like the look, as for the use? I am looking for something that is used locally from the house to work and around town mostly, highway occasionally and rarely hitting curves. as for track days, well that isn't in my future too soon so not worried about the track just yet.

here is another question for you. . . . . . . . I found a tire and wheel set with the proper offset and everything, made especially for the slingshot, 20 front, 22 rear, the cost is $1599 for the set. . . . . . is this too much or does it sound like a good deal?
