...........So wifey isn't feeling the heat in my 17 slingshot and now I'm looking at the W.P. Dual series rear exit exhaust to go on my 1320 V2 headers I installed already, my question is for those out there who went this route.....Did it make a noticeable difference in the passenger side heat area........??? Or should I just tell her to stay home lol.......that's the other option besides the exhaust.........because I'm still riding in Bee Bee no matter what......lmao

Yeap... in a spray bottle.
....that will work......

The slingshot does not have a fuel/fume recovery system. Released as a motorcycle, it circumvents the EPA requirement for automobiles.
The are two tubes that hang down and exit to the right of the battery and left of the swingarm. One tube is a fuel overflow should you spill fuel into the collar of the filling neck. The other is a fuel tank vent. If the vent tube were to become blocked, kinked, pinched, a vacuum in the tank could occur. Engine shutdown, and at worst, tank collasp, or pump failure could occur.Because @D.W.Slusher is only experiencing a stumble on stops, tank vacuum is not the problem.
....ok so does that mean I can continue to fill her up to the tippy top ( because I always did ....Id fill it up so far you would think I'm pissing 93 octane.....) But now I know otherwise......

I like the unconventional thinking and use of the Bose cube speakers but you may run into a problem without someone suggesting the appropriate amplifier. I'm pretty sure the SS stock speakers are 4ohm but I'm always subject to being wrong. That's your mismatch...I'm not saying that it can't be done, you will probably sacrifice a bit as they are not built for open air, let alone to be played for great sound at +45mph speeds. I'd never considered repurposing these to run in my golf cart and now I'm actually curious....
Either way, I hope someone pops in to give you some real world experience and guidance. Good luck on the mod and I hope it works out for you.
...4 ohms or 2 ohms...?

.......Bose systems only sound great when you use Bose Components....IMO

I am more than willing to let people sit in the SS if they ask or I offer but don't just climb in her when I am not around. Came out of a restaurant and this jerk wad was starting to get in my slingshot and acting all bad around this girl. I kind of walked over there and said I wouldn't get in that vehicle if I were him because I knew the owner carried a gun. He puffed up and said he wasn't afraid. I said you should be because I am the owner. He shrank a little and said oh. I offered his girlfriend a ride and we were gone about a half hour. When we got back she said Oh he is still here. Had to laugh, hope I didn't cause a fight.
...see now if that were me I would have dropped her off somewhere else.....far from him ......

......nice to hear such nice people with slingshots......just PM me your address so when the next one asks I can referred them to the nice guys with slingshots........

I know it seems counter intuitive but dropping the pressure increases the tire footprint and decreases the effectiveness of the tread patterns ability to evacuate water with a softer tire unable to resist the pressure created by water on the road, cupping in the center rather than cutting through the water (think motorcycle tire) increasing the chance of hydroplaning and loosing traction ....Courtesy of TireRack.com Tech dept. ...

"The first photograph shows a tire properly inflated to 35 psi sitting still in the water on the glass plate. This provides an accurate idea of the tire's footprint size and shape.
The black area is where the tire's rubber compound is pressed on the glass, and the green areas identify water in the tire's circumferential and high-angle lateral grooves, and on the remainder of the glass plate.
A properly inflated tire will have enough pressure in the center of its tread to resist collapsing.
The second picture is of a tire properly inflated to 35 psi, driving across the glass at 60 miles per hour. If the glass plate were dry, the footprint size would be virtually identical to the first picture because air does not prevent the tread from contacting the plate. However, with standing water on the plate, the tire's tread depth and tread design must evacuate the water as the tire rolls across the plate at 88 feet per second. You will notice that the footprint still shows good contact with the plate, but is slightly smaller than the static tire's footprint.
A tire that is slightly under-inflated will apply less pressure to the center of the tread and it will become slightly concave.
The third picture is of a tire inflated to only 30 psi, again driving across the glass at 60 miles per hour. With the same amount of standing water on the plate, the center of the tire's tread is lifted as the tread design unsuccessfully attempts to evacuate water as the tire rolls across the plate. You will notice that the actual footprint shows poor contact with the plate and is significantly smaller than the footprint in the photograph of the properly inflated tire.
A tire that is significantly under-inflated will allow the center of the tread to collapse and become very concave, trapping water rather than flowing it through the tread design.
The final picture is of a tire inflated to only 25 psi, driving across the glass plate at 60 miles per hour. With the same amount of standing water, the water lifts the center of the tire's tread as its footprint rolls across the plate. You will notice that the actual footprint shows little contact with the plate and has been virtually reduced to the shoulder areas."Keep the pressure stock or even a bit high in the wet ....

Off to impound for 7 days for excellent speeding... but they called it "excessive"? Just trying to be the best at what I do best.
p.s. It's OK to "like" the post. Gotta laugh at life. And I'll get it back.
....I would have to sell mines because theres no way to maintain posted speed limits in Bee Bee, don't get me wrong .....I do try......

...Sorry for your loss....going thru the same thing with my Boxer....

Think I might have to get that Cockpit cover because I do a lot of outdoor music events and showers pop up here & there.......I do carry rain suits but its not me I'm worried about getting wet, its Bee Bee....
-
...........your out in your Slingshot enjoying yourself at a Car/Bike show and then realize you will NOT make it home to beat the rain , What do you do......
.......I ask because I'm thinking about
Nelson-Rigg Fitted Indoor / Outdoor Cockpit Cover from Slingmods.....
.......I already own the full Polaris cover but that's too much for me to carry all the time.... -
.....You can get these from Autozone, Pepe boys or Napa Auto parts........I used these a lot so when ever taking the pods apart in the future which for me is a lot, I have no problem unplugging them & plugging them back up.......There is a hole there already to run your wire under the pod but I made it a little bigger to accommodate this 2 prong plug....All your rear speaker wires have to find their way to the front to the radio which I would take a guess and say we all ran our wiring right up the middle underneath & tie wrap it along with the other wires you will see..........Hopes that helps you

....Now at least I cant see the silver locking mechanism under the E Brake handle....Most importantly it will not keep turning which is what was pissing me off the most.......

....Well since its raining & going to continue to rain for a few days and I'm finishing up some install work on a 98 GL1500 Goldwing, I figured I would visit my local material store & for $15 got me some thread & some Black Vinyl which I will use to lengthen the bottom, because surely they must NOT cut all the boots the same length SMFH........
