He was offered to pick up his street glide but realizes that by doing so, if something should happen to the street glide it could kill the deal so he choosing to leave it there... and be patience

....they told him 4-6 weeks til the part arrives......I was also told the part was on back order for the part for me.....and he traded in his Harley Street Glide, they said he could pick up the bike, so he has choices..........

....a friend brought a new 2019 slingshot but was told he couldn't pick it up DUE to a recall on the seatbelts, not sure if he was talking about the recall for the seat BELT guide, which I have a recall on my 2017 sling.......?

That's why its best to install RGB LEDs......ill display whatever color I want but when I get stopped by the time they approach the vehicle I switch em to green.." Officer are you color blind "

.....and traffic was slowing down and I see this ( love my Gopro ) like WTF all the cars out here this holiday weekend and he has to mess with a fellow slingshot......Hope it was just a warning...

and if I cut the wires off of one sensor and tie it into the other and just plug up one sensor, that might tell me which one is bad or if both are bad...…..thinking outside the box

I have another thought also....since there are 2 sensors attached to the brake line and both have the same color 2 wires attached........how am I to know if one sensor went bad and one might still be good and i have the software from MEFIBURN for the slingshot but once I plugged my laptop up to my slingshot, it said NO errors because its reading the ecu......the sensors aren't connected to the ecu I GUESS therefore there should be a way to tap into maybe the brake light wire , if you have the brake light harness from slingmods maybe

.....theres got to be a way to bypass those faulty sensors and have the cruise control be trigged by the brake another way, one thing we all can agree on the current way isnt the safest because it keeps failing ......

From my research from on here & other sources...….NO ONE has this part # 4016380 ( NEW) which is the brake sensor that when fails disengages your cruise control until REPLACED and those Websites that do have it , have it listed as OUT OF STOCK...…..PLEASE correct me if im wrong but those sensors must tell the cruise control your applying your brakes which disengages your cruise control while its set...??? Since they fail so much on everyones Sling, im wondering is there a way to unplug the sensors and leave them there and run the wire to your brake pedal wiring, so that when you step on the brake it will disengage your cruise control...is anyone following me out there lmao

I wouldn't mind relying on a part if it was available when inop BUT I see this may be a problem for me personally !

So I went by the dealer today, They have to order the parts for the brake failure light & for the recall on the seat belt guide which they said that part is on back order with no eta...……..so now I await their call for me to bring it back in.....and of course I asked is this something I can wait while getting repaired and the shop manager said yes, both times I came in for a recall he had me in and out in minutes....maybe because my recalls passed lol

....I know there are 2 of brake sensors, I was only able to locate one BRAND NEW ONE online, I see they sell alot of used ones online but Homey dont play that.......ill see what the dealer say, if they can do it in a couple of hours, because it doesn't take that long if you know what your doing......but if not I'll see if their parts Dept has the part for sell & do it myself

I have that dreaded BRAKE FAILURE light on, im going to the dealer tomorrow because I also have a recall # T-18-03 Seat Belt Guide...……….if they inform me I have to leave my Sling ill be leaving and doing the job myself ...….So far ive found just one Brake pressure switch # 4016380 online & I know I need 4 Seal stat 0 3/8 70ep # 5413212...and since ive already bled my brake system once, I have no problem doing it again...…..

He has a 2016 base model & code # O 0520230 31 with the brake light on the dash popping on........I told him disconnect the battery for now for 5 minutes than see if that will clear it but he just picked it up so he doesn't know the history , that's why I was trying to plug up my harness & software to clear the code, to see if it will return....

....Ok so I have the MEFi 6 scan along with the harness to connect my 2017 up BUT what I found out today when a friend brought his 2016 by my house with an engine light on is my harness will not plug up to his slingshot because his plug under the steering wheel is a different plug..........issues issues issues......What now....any suggestions besides him taking his slingshot to the dealer....

...........So wifey isn't feeling the heat in my 17 slingshot and now I'm looking at the W.P. Dual series rear exit exhaust to go on my 1320 V2 headers I installed already, my question is for those out there who went this route.....Did it make a noticeable difference in the passenger side heat area........??? Or should I just tell her to stay home lol.......that's the other option besides the exhaust.........because I'm still riding in Bee Bee no matter what......lmao
