    @KayTwo

    I have the same ones that EJ Ford has. He's right. They just clamp on with small allen screws and there are felt pads that protect the shield. Yes, only about an inch of real estate is needed.

    "If you plan to attend, ahem, @DocG, please go here:
    Summit Point, WV Track Day
    Crew code dictates don't be a puss. Go racing."

    I appreciate the call out, however, as I've explained before, I know myself and my previous competiveness a few years ago - not doing that again. Sorta like this is asking to fall off the wagon. Even if I was just a spectator, the urge would be just too great for me.

    I wish you all fun and please be safe.

    Love

    Puss

    So sorry to hear this.

    But how about posting a pix of it along with the VIN. We certainly have a lot of members that can certainly keep an eye out for it.

    Especially if there's something unique about it.

    Plus should someone buy from a private party, the VIN may help in indicating it's a stolen vehicle.

    While my e brake light wasn't coming on like yours, my e brake handle got very loose and dealer replaced the entire e brake assembly. Evidently the rivets came loose in it.

    Wow! Wow! WoW! We did NOT expect this but to our surprise we had a package arriving today containing a Lil Pony and a wonderful book for Michele's granddaughter. We had no clue or idea, nor expected anything, however it brought tears to our eyes.

    Thank you Slingshot Family! And to those of you that actually sent the gift in the name of our slingshot family, you rock!

    So here's the result. I love it!

    Well, I assist in performing forensics on computer systems from failed financial institutions and I also maintain the master inventories of electronic and paper records of them - to a tune of 3.3 millions boxes of paper records and I can't even pronounce the total size of electronic data.

    Yes, I work for FDIC, but don't worry, your money is safe with me!

    Uh but, what's your account and pin number? I'll double check to make sure you're safe. lol

    Thanks all for your kind replies. We "got this" and will get through it. But what I want to see is @Nemesis1701 Come on Buddy, shrug it off - WE are family! (hmm, wasn't that a song????)

    Well folks

    I know I've been "missing in action" although I've been reading the forums.

    We had a very personal tragedy that happened early on Thanksgiving morning. Nothing that I ever want to go through ever again.

    In fact we are still dealing with it and our priorities have shifted for the moment from our family here on the slingshot community to dealing with this tragedy.

    But we ARE a family regardless of what "branding" some may want or desire, or not.

    Please, I implore all of you not to be offended, nor offend, with our posts here. Life is way too short not too.

    So please excuse my absence while we try to soothe a 2 year old granddaughter in what's supposed to be a happy time for her.

    Let's just be adults here and know we all have different opinions and thoughts - but that doesn't mean we're not family.

    Now - Sling On!

    I for one appreciate your candor in your trying times with this situation, and for the others responses about turbo and boost.

    I DID learn something - so your lesson learned was received for sure.

    Thank you.

    That was my thought @V-SHOT - Elevate the wheels above the rail.

    Now to add to that - maybe possibly use two 2x6's and then use a router to make a groove the width (plus more) of the tires to help guide it in when you drive it up. Plus you add chocks in the front to make a stop for the front.

    @V-SHOT

    My thoughts with the 2x6 was that the wheels drive on top of them, thus clearing (sitting above) the rail?

    And I've been following all you Tidewater Slingers, it's just been wood cutting time for me here.

    @V-SHOT

    So, couple of questions for you...

    a) What if you were to add a 2x6 on the left and right hand sides of the trailer, would that eliminate the possibility of scratching the tires from the rails? (I know they would have to bolted down, your tie-downs re-done on the left and right, and possibly have to add a 2x6 block for the rear to keep it level).

    b) You said there are 7' ramps? Three of them?
