I found my order flip from doing mine. I put a 30lb shock on each side. I ordered direct from liftsupportdepot.com.I've had them installed for just about a year with no issues. They do help in raising and lowering the hood.
I used the longer ball end mount on both ends. It was extremely tight
trying to get it in the hole already in the shock tower so I just
drilled another hole and used it. I bought the washers from Lowe's.
Note: make sure the ends of the shock are metal. Some come with a plastic end. You can request the metal if needed.
Stephen."It appears they went up in price - $185 dollars now...

Hey folks
I went a different route as it comes to luggage. Months ago on the dark side, someone had posted about a set of motorcycle soft bags that he was able to secure on the rails on the driver and passenger sides so the bags sat outside of the cockpit compartment just behind each front fender wells
They are pretty big but don't seem to
interfere with getting our out of the sling. They also come with waterproof covers. I'm going to leave them on for a while with some weight in them and see how they do.
I might have to tweak the straps but we'll see.
But they were only a ~$100 bucks or so.

I'll order some tomorrow Rab. So the hats are only for the ladies?

Thanks for the confirmation. Hopefully this may help someone else.

@dharmab. I'm only a few miles from route 3 and 20. We're going to set a date with you for service real soon. I think there's four of us, five if Cameron comes to.
We'll give you a call ahead of time to see what you're service schedule looks like and what we think needs to be done.
-
Well darn, you are like twenty to thirty minutes from me.

I've heard that works.
@ethermion and I have a great dealer that received a service or tech bulletin from Polaris for our mushy brake problems and when they got done, no more mushy brakes.
In effect, they took off the brake calipers and opened the pistons all the way out, then all the way in. While I don't know for a fact, I suspect they had the bleeders opened at one point of this process.
In addition, I added the Alpha brake master cylinder brace a couple of weekends ago and that's a must have. Open your hood, keep your eye on that master cylinder, and mash the brakes. You'll see it move quite a bit.
