    I have had many Slingshot owners ask me why insurance varies so much. The truth is, insurance carriers look at five main factors. Insurance carrier rate plan, SS#, age, zip code and what you are insuring. I have premiums from $350 to $2,500 per year. There are another 20 some odd factors such as married/single, homeowner/renter, prior insurance and of course, driving record. Most insurance agents are unfamiliar with the Slingshot, do not consider all the discounts available and are not appointed by all available insurance carriers, writing insurance on the Slingshot!
