@ericastar76, trust me, I know!
@MACAWS, thanks! He's 14 now, and taller than his mother, so I get the Zack comment. See you guys there!

Thanks for the response. Don't know if you remember from 2 years ago (I was there with my son), but I'll modestly say that I didn't slow you guys down. I'll catch up with you guys at the hotel. If it's a closed group, though, I'll understand.
I rode with @rabtech, @FunCycle, and @MACAWS, to name a few, back in 2016 at SSITS (i missed 2017). I just received an email from Ivor stating that all rides are done at "medium" speeds and that Rabtech doesn't lead any of them anymore. So are you boys planning on doing a few "alternate" runs at a more spirited pace, or just running in the existing ride groups at a more leisurely pace?
Thanks!
Joe
@Cameron Roberts, what is this prototype aluminum Stinger top you speak of? Is it a Madstad Stinger made out of Aluminum instead of steel? If so, why didn't they go forward with it? And why are you getting rid of it?
Thanks!
I was going to post this awhile back and never got to it. The Apple Watch is the perfect Slingshot companion! Phone in the glove box, get a text or email and just check it while on the go. I'm sure you guys can vouch, just wanted to add a quick "endorsement" to the device the product is for. And I'll be buying one as soon as I can...not for me, but for my wife, who forgets to charge hers sometimes.
I think the initial batch of DDM sway bars only had one hole, but the latest ones have 2:
POLARIS SLINGSHOT ADJUSTABLE SWAY BAR BY DDMWORKS
I too would love to know the stiffness of the Alpha sway bar since DDM states theirs is 30% more rigid than stock.
@Texas T, I know you said you didn't feel a big difference between the 2" and the 2.5", so would you saw they're about the same? The reason I ask is because I'll get the exhaust first, then after a few months, get the supercharger. Just wanted to make sure it didn't have any bad characteristics that would make living with 2.5" terrible for those months.
Thanks!
Posted earlier, but since you asked:
These are with Bill's spring rates (250 front, 350 rear) set at stock height:
Front: 8 Compression, 6 Rebound
Rear: 6 Compression, 6 Rebound
I try and keep the rebound at low as I can to make sure the shocks don't pack down over multiple bumps or ripples.
It's amazing what a difference 1 click can make (at least on these shocks). Going from 7 to 8 on the front compression really made the Slingshot handle and stay composed in the corners! Most cars (or bikes for that matter), the chassis gets really out of shape when you try to brake and turn, especially if done together (obviously not optimal). With the front end set up tight like this, it was great, even when braking mid-corner (again, not optimal, but back roads, following others, and of course, bad judgement). The only other non-race vehicle I've ever felt like this was my Lotus Elise.
The only downside is, it's a little jarring in straight lines (at 8 compression). I'm looking into the DDM Sway Bar, which I hope will give me the stable chassis with slightly lower front compression settings.
BTW, at first I tried them at the mid point (9/9) on all ends, and I thought my Dentist could here the cash registry ringing with the cost of my dental work falling out. 4/4 felt like a Cadillac (of course these days, more like a Lexus).
I've been meaning to post about this product. It is great, and worked great with the GoPro, with one caveat: For where I mounted it, on the side of the roll hoop (not the top), I needed the extra Velcro in between the roll hoop and the clamp in order to make it not wiggle. Unlike @rabtech, I put the Velcro on the clamp, not the roll bar. Worked great! Again, very pleased with product, just make sure you have some Velcro with you.
Thanks @Ruptured Duck! That's what I was looking for. Can't wait for you to get this done! With the new Jeep Wrangler coming out soon, I hope you get this completed before you get slammed at your day job...
Thanks @Ruptured Duck. I understand not wanting to give an exact ETA, but can you give a ballpark? A week, a month, a year? Also, is there a sign-up sheet somewhere. If not, I'm creating one and I'm first!
I have a 2011 Jeep Wrangler Unlimited, so I not only know about Rugged Ridge, but I'm a "user"! Thanks for your efforts! Between bikes, then the Jeep, and now the Slingshot, it's hard not to mod the wife's SUV!
@Ruptured Duck, can you take a picture directly from the side? Also, what's your day job? SpaceX engineer?
Last question: ETA?
PM'd you.
@rabtech, the Velcro was just to make it a snugger fit, not to prevent scratching of the roll hoops, correct? Did your roll hoops get scratched? Also, it looks like you put the soft Velcro on the hoops, not the mount. Was there a reason for that? Obviously I'm trying to keep the Slingshot as pristine as possible...
Thanks!
@Dave@DDMWorks, is it just today? Or all week?
@Red, why did you only need the fronts?
