@CDCAMEL6 I bought my SS at the end of the season so I've only done the ride from Chicago a couple of times. Its a fun ride. Almost no traffic and 55 is super smooth. Once you get down there, the old country roads are phenomenal for spirited riding.

So I see most people swear by the Nitto 555 g2. But I wonder if the bias is because we're coming from Kenda's and the Nitto seems to be the cheapest decent option.
I've got the SLR rims with the 305/30/20 rear tire. I see Nitto 555 g2 or Toyo Proxies T1R as the next logical step up. But take budget out of the decision making process...and I was looking for street use with decent wet traction for 3 season use...and only (stay with me now) symmetrical; are the 400-600 dollar tires I see on Tire Rack and Discount Tire really worth double (or more!) the cost?Discuss.

Wow!!! My Mom worked there for years in the admitting office. Started way back when it was on 8th St. She just stopped volunteering there a couple of years ago!! I was born there also!!! Very small world.

Six degrees of separation in full effect. Do you ever ride down there? I've seen 2 SS's around town during the summertime. We should put together a group ride when it gets warm!

Lol thats funny cuz my wife didn't like it at first either. She said it looked weird. But that was also before @kev windshield. Now it looks proper.

@CDCAMEL6 i work at ALMH! When it gets warm you’ll see my SS parked outside the ER.

@CDCAMEL6 Its Hangman's Bridge in Hartsburg! Are you from the area?? I work down there 2 weeks out of the month.

Would those brackets attach to the frame somehow?

Since I've got the Slingshade, none of the wings can use the rollbars because thats where it hooks up. Thinking of this option. The brackets are 60cm apart, (just under 24 inches #'Murica!) Will it blend!?

Lincoln, IL.
This was before the slingshade and Kev's nascar windshield.
I know I know. My SS is prettier than your SS. -
Anyone know if this can happen or a way to make this happen? Just saw that pre orders are ETA end of November and I really love the style of that wing but I see it hooks up to the same place the slingshade does.... What about using longer bolts? I'm guessing no one has this combo....

You guys are awesome! Thanks to all for the quick replies! @EjFord you were right about this forum. (Let me know btw whenever you do a ride in the Midwest. I live in Chicago and work near Bloomington/Springfield.)
Back to my dilemma:
That is giving up quite a bit of horses from the 280 listed on your site @Dave@DDMWorks
The Welter dual exhaust with the silencer inserts might be my only solution to keep things flowing but quieter than a fart can.
What kind of numbers can I expect with 1320 headers and Welter boosted dual exhaust WITH the silencers in place?
And I can’t seem to find a cat delete pipe? Gains with and without cat delete pipe? -
I’ve pretty much read thru all of the previous posts lol!
Polaris sells a CAI, I think it’s the one that comes with the SLR. I had them put it on mine.
I hear some folks had the Alpha’s fail on them. The Welter I like but the stealth might get in the way of a 4 wheel conversion and the dual I’ve heard causes fumes with a tall windshield, I have the nascar style tallboy. But I’ve also got a slingshade and have heard that eliminates fumes. This is a 8k question so you understand my hesitation! -
I’ve posted this on the other forum and sent an email to DDM but haven’t heard back...
I’m not a fan of any of the exhaust systems that are out there..too loud or I’m too old. Also plan on eventually doing the quad wheel conversion so not sure which one would fit anyway.
I wanted to know what kind of HP numbers I could expect with the DDM supercharger running the Polaris CAI and 1320 headers with stock exhaust?
Crank and wheel hp.
How much HP would I be giving up?
Please show work.

Kev this one single mode has made my sling so much more civilized feeling! If/when you do develop air wings, I’d like them!
