Lol. Trust me, you do NOT want to ride your sling in snow UNLESS you swap out the rear with a snowmobile track and the front with skis

I know last year I got stuck on a slight incline going downhill. I think the ski's and a track system similar to what motorcycles have to convert them to snow machines would be real cool unfortunately Donald didn't pay his taxes and now I can't go for a government loan to do this. OOOps wait I'm Canadian so I guess I just can't afford it. :D

Well it looks like its that time again(or just the second time) snow is falling in Fort Kent and it is just a matter of time before it starts falling here. I predict snow will be here to stay 2 weeks earlier than normal. Does anyone make a snow plow for SS's. Maybe I could be the first? Chains on the front and rear tires???

As a Canadian looking for entertainment I watched parts of the debate last night. There are some drinking games that some others have started playing. I think we should all take a drink every time Clinton says "UH" in the next debate. It is the most annoying thing to listen to someone who is just talking for the sake of it. She would use the "UH" phrase sometimes 5 or 10 times a minute, it is crazy for someone with so much public speaking experience. When I was in grade school taking public speaking this was the #1 no no. We had a Premier in our province, the last time I heard him speak he was also using the "UH" phrase. I thought this was bad form for someone also who was a news correspondent for years. Soon after his speech he did retire and totally developed frontemporal dementia which took his life soon after. So my question is this normal for Clinton to talk like this over the last 5-10 years?
Also we could drink every time the Donald tells a lie or doesn't answer the question asked. Just saying a few thoughts from up North.

Unfortunately dirt roads are here to stay. I do hate it when you go 60 mph and the road changes to gravel without you paying attention. When I first got my Slingshot I would wash it daily. After Alaska it get washed whenever. Unless I go to a show and shine there will always be a little bit of Alaska in the Slingshot. If I was afraid of the dirt roads I would have never went up Bonanza Creek where the gold rush started on the Klondike. You just don't get the speed up.

Sounds good. Haven't planned next summer holidays yet so it will be in the running. Unlike @Canoehead I am not very flexible. I can hardly touch me toes but I am losing weight for winter holidays. Maybe next year I will get the cockpit weight down to 450lbs.

We left on Thursday, stayed over night in Edson. Headed back on Friday and split up at Entwistle when I went south. I would have went longer but it looked like Saturday may have been wet(fairweather rider). More reason to put up a solid day months in advance and just do it.

Wow the Alberta Group ride was a great success. After 6 months of planning we had a great turn out me and @Canoehead. I think if we give it a year in advance then we may have 3 Slings next year. I think we should plan a US invasion. Calgary to St. Mary's to Yellowstone to Rapid City but set a date now. Maybe the week of Aug. 7th and we can go to Sturgis also? or the last week in June so we can celebrate our 150th
    birthday. Any ideas or thoughts.

It is a warm one this Friday, about 24 degrees high and Saturday 22 with a 40% chance of showers in Jasper on Saturday. It looks like the last kick at the cat.

Next weekend looks a bit warmer but it is weather in Alberta. Pumpkin drop in Smoky Lake on the first of October. I probably will be headed up north that weekend with the Sling as a tow car. Then next time to ride would be the middle of October for me. Then time to park and tear apart.

Friday looks like it would be a good day however looking at the weather this am it looks like 90% chance of rain on Saturday. The next weekend Saturday looks better but this is the weather we are talking about.

I am geared and have gaz in the tank and ready to go either day.

Thanks. I will do some leg work myself with a level(not the lazer type..lol) and set it on the windshield to figure out exactly where it hits my face and measure up from there. I like the idea of 2.5" wider and I assume that it is +3 on the angle so it is little less on the vertical but I can calculate that easily.

If you measure up the center from the hood up to get the height --- I have the F4 Customs tinted 5+ windshield and love it. You will want to add the Baker 'Air Wings' for air movement. 33,000 + miles on one of the first F4 5+ tinted shields with 'Air Wings', no problem trailering with the Polaris fitted trailering cover. For 20 years I road a Gold Wing with the Tulsa Shield and loved it and this is the
    same type of set up.

Thanks @EjFord So does that mean 5+ is 5" taller than stock or it is just a name??

I know what they are marketing I just don't know how to compare them. I see that they have additional width also but I just need to know where to put a tape measure to measure? Is it a vertical measurement or
a measurement on the wind screen.
