I'm in. Mid August works best for me the weather is usually no bad however if you want to make it interesting around the 2nd week in July so that they could take in "The Greatest Outdoor Show in the World" the Calgary Stampede. It just that we usually have those crazy rain storms around 3:30/4 that last for 30 minutes due to daytime heating. Maybe a good excuse to have vendors to sell lids for the SS'S. I still think we could get a run going to Jasper and back through Lake Louise this year as @Canoehead had previously suggested. If I pull it off I am planning to go from Whistler and cruise Vancouver Island around the 2nd/3rd week in July this and from Whitehorse to Alaska the beginning of July. Still haven't set my itinerary probably just go where the wind takes me. I will know that I should be going through Edmonton the week of June 20th so hopefully set up a ride Elk Island to ???

Made in USA if they know their bikes so most are okay with the little toy. Again I get the "hi" wave by lots , the double take by others then totally ignored by the Jap crap riders. It's a novelty to some and an inevitable ride for some seniors. My buddy has Harley's for him and the wife but the progression of Parkinson's has made him dump his ride a couple of times and when I handed him the keys it made sense to him. A year later he is still a biker.

But who cares if anyone likes what we ride as I do it for myself not for them.

I haven't tested out my new lights yet so I am out but maybe at Elk Island for the beginning of summer vacation after Father's Day. I could make add an extra day to my plan. I would be into a start at Sylvan Lake on a Sunday before or after holidays and roll up the David Thompson to 93 or even the Ice Fields/glass walkway.

I would like to put my fat ass in them before I buy any seats. It seems that @Canoehead already has new seats so who would I trade with if I don't like them  plus then I may need a new windshield if I sit any higher. The good part would be my wife's side wouldn't need any bolts so I could sell them to offset the cost. Anyhow no more mods before holidays unless they are warrantied then maybe I'll see about a polaris upgrade.

Has anyone had the problem where the drivers seat is cracking due to sitting on it. It seems my seat has a wear mark where the interior foam compresses and the exterior foam folds due to sitting on it. I know soon it will result in a tear. Is this a warranty issue? I had my dealer look at it and they sent an inquiry however they never received an answer.

Ahh Toni ^^ wasn't bad in her day! Older than me. That's why when I was younger I thought she was good to go. :D

The Captain and Tenille may be a song for the slow black ones. It is like country music when I happen to turn on the radio and its one a country music station I can't get over the speed limit. Some AC/DC like Highway to Hell or Steppenwolf "Born to be Wild" Ozzies Crazy Train would be great ride songs. What would make these songs even better is not having a crap system that the speakers crack when the bass is playing loud.

Don't need to register it just need to be able to drive it. Figure better mileage than the motor home which gets 6 miles to a gallon or about 500 gallons of gas. I might park the motor home on the Canadian side and do the loop to Fairbanks Anchorage and back with the SS.

I recently had the double nut procedure done but as @Canoehead told me "don't let them scratch your nuts" My nuts look awful. ^^ It just looks so painful I think I will have to paint my nuts. Maybe I will get my wife to use her nail polish.

I was wondering and did a few searches but didn't find my answer. I went on one Polaris dealers site but never saw a Slingshot advertised. I don't know even if they is enough pavement to make it worth my while to haul the SS behind the motor home. It would be great to be able to stop and do some day runs or over night runs. Any thoughts?

I found the pins I needed at NAPA to rewire my lights. I believe they are of GM vintage but could be wrong.the part number for these is 725190 The Description is GM280 serie male term (DPB2) if that helps. I don't know if NAPA USA uses the same part numbers as NAPA Canada. I had an after market wire stripper with a number of different crimps and also soldiered them.

I have been lucky so far however, I always ask for a ticket to be written to me under section 111. The fine is usually the same but there is no demerit points. Section 111 in Alberta is failure to follow the rules of the road. My son uses that also except the last time the officer looked up his record and saw a lot of section 111's and gave him the full ticket. The time I got pulled over with a radar detector on the dash I got the full ticket even though I explained that I couldn't hear the beeping over AC/DC.

As I don't have a financial investment in this site here is my 2 cents worth. If I was looking to do some research on what vehicle to buy I would go to a website that specializes in my research subject. I think if I saw all the cool stuff I could do to that vehicle it may make me want to buy one or not. If I did eventually buy one then I would eventually have to sign up to a site. I thought the idea of this site was to get away from the bureaucracy of the site not to be named. Just my 2 cents and since we have eliminated the penny up north here you can give it what it is worth.

It happens I went to the store the other day and it took 2 hours also. It just happened that the store wasn't in our city. Open 4 lane highway does that. When I got back home my wife asked where I had been? I told her I went to the store to get milk. She asked me where is the milk? I think I would have been better off to say I went to the strippers.

Thanks @Canoehead for helping me with my hid light installation. Got them working last night. Needed 8 need pins that I bought from Napa and crimped them on. I also made a jumper to reverse the polarity on the low beams with the left over parts
